Continuation of Thread 4.

There is so much excellent information and so many active discussions on FWR that I wondered if it would be useful to have a thread to sort of "cross-fertilise" between them - airing little thoughts or vignettes that wouldn't themselves merit their own thread, to highlight other posts/threads of particular interest or to point to notable developments on fast-moving threads so that casual observers know where to look.

(For example, "the X thread has meandered onto a fascinating discussion of Y" or "Poster P's amazing analysis on thread Z might have relevance to the scenario in thread W" or "Has anybody noticed this recurring theme that keeps coming up??" or even "Random bloke asked me to smile while I was choosing onions, grr"- that sort of thing).

And having just fixed it, twitter gave me these two tweets. I'm going to be picking up pieces for ever (I knew covering it with glitter was a mistake 😶)They must have done this on purpose.

I'm glad I'm not on Twitter. I'd get through laptops in no time. Once again, it's funny... but it's not. What's clear is that these fuckers hate and fear women, whether they're lesbians or not.

tourdefrance · 08/06/2023 13:57

Sorry are the child protection people retweeting the drag queen event???!!!!

IcakethereforeIam · 08/06/2023 14:10

No, I'm not on twitter but I think Moray Council retweeted Child Protection then Moray Council tweeted their own DGSH.

There were, it seems, a few days that lapsed between each tweet/retweet, but the juxtaposition is extraordinary.

The juxtaposition of calling lesbians 'non-men' then saying how they suffer from discrimination!

Whatever could they mean? A penguin and a duck billed platypus? They're both non men. Aren't they?

BinturongsSmellOfPopcorn · 08/06/2023 16:01

Trees, Alpha Centuri, Dulux exterior gloss, the Austro-Hungarian Compromise of 1867 ... the list of things that are non-men is almost infinite.

IcakethereforeIam · 08/06/2023 16:12

It's a bit like transphobia everything is non-men, except men of course. I'm not entirely sure if there is anything that is consistently not transphobic.

More to the point, if you're being consistent with gender id, non-binary males are non-men aren't they? By that definition it'd mean that if Sam Smith and Ezra Miller got together they'd be in a lesbian relationship. It's utter nonsense.

Turns out that the woman who married the Berlin Wall was just embracing the lesbianism of the future, way before its time

The idea of him being a trans activist made me laugh. He's a Dylan Mulvaney activist. The arty photos make a change from giggly girlhood but most of what he has to say is the same old same old. If he stopped sharing every aspect of his life online he wouldn't know what else to do. I'm just waiting for 365 days of detransitioning

He's apparently a lesbian these days.

IcakethereforeIam · 09/06/2023 10:25

Do you think this would be suitable for a SFW event? Or is it a bit fighty?

Heh, great T-shirt, but remember WORDS ARE VIOLENCE, T-SHIRTS ARE GENOCIDE.

I think it's a cotton mix with a transfer.

I've ordered the Book of Mighty Poems, AKA Under the Duvet of Darkness. Looking forward to reading next week. Top scathing wit here from glosswitch:
