Continuation of Thread 4.

There is so much excellent information and so many active discussions on FWR that I wondered if it would be useful to have a thread to sort of "cross-fertilise" between them - airing little thoughts or vignettes that wouldn't themselves merit their own thread, to highlight other posts/threads of particular interest or to point to notable developments on fast-moving threads so that casual observers know where to look.

(For example, "the X thread has meandered onto a fascinating discussion of Y" or "Poster P's amazing analysis on thread Z might have relevance to the scenario in thread W" or "Has anybody noticed this recurring theme that keeps coming up??" or even "Random bloke asked me to smile while I was choosing onions, grr"- that sort of thing).

Hi! It was way too noisy to sing there unfortunately. Plus I'd have had to bring my busking speaker and along with my baby and four year old, it would have been too difficult. However I have lots of songs written. I was so sick of my comments getting deleted all the time, I put most of my thoughts about it all into lyrics instead 😂 Some women and I are talking of forming a radical feminist band so hopefully live performances coming soon.. if we can get a venue to book of course

Unfortunately some other people also got a say, so i3ts not quite as good as Squeaky's agenda. Think we can squeeze in the gluten free cake, though (as long as there is also some dairy free for me).

Some nicely biological stuff is on the list, so that's progress with point 2.

Beacon Hill cookies all round (I believe they're good with aqua faba, though I've always used egg white).

Speaking of dairy-free (bear in mind that I am an omnivore with no dietary restrictions), we made a cucumber, dill and coconut milk soup this week and it was fucking marvellous. We were all fighting over the last portion.

For the first time this issue came up properly in one of my "due in X" Mumsnet baby groups that has migrated to social media. I can't say how delighted I was about the strength of terfy feeling amongst everyone.

DS did GCSE history today on crime and punishment and I’m currently reading the biography of Sylvia Pankhurst. He made some comment about men and women in prison and I said ‘well mostly men, probably about 90% of prison population is male’.
He said no, about 80%. So obviously I asked Google that gave me 96%.
So then we discussed if that number would have been different in the 1900s / 1910s when thousands of suffragettes were being locked up.

The press could, if they were brave and lateral thinking enough, get round the ban on reporting the cop's "gender" by letting us know their sex, of course.
