Caroline has just posted on twitter that the police were trying to force entry - WTF going on?

Three officers saying she has to go with them.

I, Brefugee, do here solemnly declare that every post i see by F.... decreases my trust in the police a little bit more.
I'm not reading any more of their posts in case my trust descends into negative figures.

Me too.

Hm, I feel for the good people of Coventry!

Brefugee · 24/05/2023 13:12

to be fair, if we don't comment there isn't anything to reply to.

And just to drag the thread, kicking and screaming, back to the topic: is there any news about this?

pp asked what the relevance of CFs christianity is? i think that she's not someone that i'd support in general, as afaik she's anti abortion. But in this respect it seems as though she is the subject of harassment with the complicity of the authorities and i find it extremely chilling.

I don't even read his posts.

I stopped a long time ago.

AutumnCrow · 24/05/2023 13:21

This might be of interest to some posters - each separate Constabulary publishes details of police misconduct hearings on its website. I've just looked at a few - there are details of names, rank, the allegations and the contents of the hearings, plus the results. A lot of dismissals but also some surprising final written warnings for breaches that seem more serious than some of the dismissals.

Anyway, interesting stuff, not least because, if names are a reflection of sex in the police, it is an extremely male cohort that's being accused of misconduct down the years.

Datun · 24/05/2023 13:37

So that's seven women, in under an hour and a half, on one page alone.

I guess what someone needs to do is go through the list, work out the one force that has no misconduct charges, and then we'll know where Felix is based.

I'm actually feeling quite bad for appearing to bully F here - but there are things that really ought to be said.

So for me what stands out isn't the extremely unbelieveable thought that there is a force that has zero charges of sexual misconduct and related issues. Because having been alive nearly 60 years, and having spent pretty much most of that around people in various types of uniformed organisation, i simply do not recognise that there is one at all that doesn't have this kind of thing from the mundane routine everyday sexism of calling the women "lumpy jumpers" or "the splits" or "show us your tits" every time a woman goes into a room to out and out rape. I don't believe it.

I also don't believe that people genuinely don't notice it. I get that the women don't report it for a variety of reasons (i almost never did, apart from the time i was up on a charge - the man wasn't - for punching a man who grabbed my tits in the barracks all-ranks bar, i literally dropped one of the pints i was holding and punched him on the nose). The everyday low- or mid-level shit if faced? I just fronted it out. Like the rest of us. More fool younger me.

So i get it. It is hard to report for the women. But the men who see this? And despite protestations to the contrary they do see it. They notice. And their tacit agreement is given every time they don't report it, or take the perpetrator to task. I simply do not believe that it doesn't happen.

So if anyone does find that force with zero reports - we've found the one we should be benchmarking. Except it's like searching for rocking horse shit.

Not cool. And I say this as someone who thinks Felix is a piece of work.

Very apt comment, I would have thought.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/05/2023 14:28

Don't read his comments. I truly believe he's getting off on this. Has there been any info. on that list regarding the Derby (I think) copper who was done for some sort of misconduct but they wouldn't release anything about ID or gender.

My trust in the police is negatively affected by Felix's blather.

Here might be a start?

https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/foi-ai/af/accessing-information/published-items/?q=&dt=Misconduct+outcome

For any particular police force, google 'misconduct hearings + NAME OF COUNTY + constabulary'.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/05/2023 16:05

I think I've found it, thank you @AutumnCrow it's completely anonymised (is that even a word?).

Datun · 24/05/2023 16:39

So that's ten women in less than a couple of hours, whose faith in the police has decreased as a result of one of their, (alleged), number's online conduct.

Would you be comfortable linking to it? I'm very curious now.

IcakethereforeIam · 24/05/2023 16:48

Not a problem, I...I...didn't <chuckle> want to derail the thread <wipes eyes>

https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/foi-ai/derbyshire-police/misconduct/misconduct-outcomes/2023/may/public-notice-of-misconduct-hearing-outcome---private/

There's not a lot to be said, perhaps this is routine but I'm drawing my own conclusions.

Trust decreasing.....

Pixiedust1234 · 24/05/2023 17:01

the panel found that on the balance of probabilities three of the five allegations were proven - final written warning was given and yet we don't know anything about this person. And yet they want us to trust them. Hah!

Sorry, hospital appointment, so I'm cribbing off Brefugee,

every post i see by a poster, who will remain unnamed, decreases my trust in the police a little bit more.

What's the count?

So that's ten women in less than a couple of hours, whose faith in the police has decreased as a result of one of their, (alleged), number's online conduct.

10 - still a bit to go to your 12 million that you originally suggested. (Tuesday's post @12:01)

And the majority of those 10 were anti-police and/or anti me to start with - right from page 1. "...Give it a fucking rest..." "...Without fail, you post something minimising and tedious on any thread relating to the police...". After one post!!

It then continued to have a number of posts deleted by MNHQ for breaching their guidelines.

So I would suggest I have not altered their opinion as it was negative to start with.

The same use names come up on police related threads on mumsnet and its always negative against police.

Besides which - all I have said throughout this thread is - lets keep an open mind, because we don't know what she has been arrested for, we don't know who the reporting person is, we don't know what the allegation is.

Lets not assume at this stage its all related to previous incidents, because we don't know for sure yet.

So we can't really judge on what the police have done.

How is this decreasing people's faith in the police?

What would you rather me say:

"Yes the police are totally wrong" - when I don't know why they were there
"Caroline is totally innocent" - when I have no idea about the allegation
"Its the same person again" - when I have no idea who contacted the police

I think we should just keep an open mind at this stage.
Something I have been saying from page 1
