Caroline has just posted on twitter that the police were trying to force entry - WTF going on?

Three officers saying she has to go with them.

Three.

I'm not hijacking any thread - I am posting as i am free and able to. More people are posting as a collective than I am.

@Felix125 You've made 223 posts on this thread, out of a total of 876. So more than a quarter of the posts on this thread are yours. Most of which are saying the same thing over and over. Not hijacking?

Felix125 · 19/05/2023 17:51

Bosky
So who on here started off with really great confidence in the police and supported what the police did at Caroline's house?

I would suggest not one poster on here would fit into that category. And throughout the thread they have continued not to change their mind. (despite not really knowing what the case is about)

So I would say it has remained unchanged

So 75% are other posters

And I make the same comments, because I am constantly asked about the same argument - and i haven't changed my mind.

Datun · 19/05/2023 17:59

Oh dear. No wonder Suella Braverman is concerned.

We're not talking about the difference between great confidence, and low confidence. We're talking about the increase or decrease in confidence.

Watching your conduct on this thread, has, certainly for me, decreased my confidence in the police. I would not like to meet you in real life, in your official capacity or otherwise.

We've seen misogyny, racism, rapists and murderers in the police. Your own survey, which you risibly thought was favourable, showed that 25% of people have low confidence in the police.

This thread, certainly to me, has been a really edifying example of how police will use police procedure in order to upset women.

it's shown me yet another, unanticipated tool that the police use.

you've done that.

You violated your own force's guidelines in using social media to further decrease trust in the police.

You're not constantly asked. You're repeatedly told that you're repeating yourself. So you repeat yourself yet again.

WE UNDERSTOOD THE FIRST TIME. YOU DON'T HAVE TO SAY THE SAME THING 200 TIMES.

You might - but others keep asking

No you didn't 🤣 You sidestepped it.

Unless you are genuinely claiming that all the women on this thread who say that you have made them trust the police even less doesn't mean that you are making them trust the police even less.

which wouldn't surprise me. 😄

I think you are an attention seeker, with a particular interest in even negative attention, from women.

I genuinely hope you are not a serving police officer.

There's no way you think you haven't decreased the confidence in the police because of your conduct, and in violation of the force's own guidelines.

None.

Boiledbeetle · 19/05/2023 18:43

Don't suppose Felix has actually read up on the case this thread is about yet?

Rhetorical question. I don't need an answer.

106 different posters on this thread.

1 made 25% of posts v 105 making the other 75%.

Felix125 · 19/05/2023 18:44

Datun

Your question - "Do you think that you have increased or decreased the confidence in the police of the posters on this thread? The one you are writing on."

My answer - I believe it has remained unchanged. As in neither increased or decreased

How is that side-stepping..?

We don't know if its all connected yet - we don't know if this current arrest is connected to the 'back story'.

OldCrone - same argument keeps coming back you see!

Boiledbeetle · 19/05/2023 19:17

Even when told its a rhetorical question. The urge to answer, for some people, is too great.

So when women say you have decreased their trust in the police, you can't hear that.

Got it.

Datun · 19/05/2023 19:50

The policing model in the UK relies on the public’s consent and trust. This trust is not only based on the police’s efficacy and competence in tackling different crimes and maintaining order, but also on how the public perceive that they are treated by the police

i'm sure they didn't take a sudden inability to read, or selective deafness into the equation, though.

Rookie error.

Ourladycheesusedatum · 19/05/2023 20:09

Can you not see that we don't know the details of the case yet so we
can't judge what the police have done

YOU dont know the details. Most of the rest of us know a bit more and still we wont give it away and make things worse for caro.

I give you many many brownie points for spending 36 pages trying to get us to dish. Sorry it didnt work out.

Tallisker · 20/05/2023 00:13

I'm prepared to say categorically that Felix's performance on this thread has made me even more distrustful of the police. I thought that they were misogynistic and often a law until themselves, and Felix has confirmed it for me.

I'm ex police staff. I have lived experience of men like Felix

MissMissive · 20/05/2023 00:18

I keep thinking of the government survey about racial inequities where they happily declared their results as wonderful!

I don't know. Given his more recent posts about the percentages of women versus men being convicted and sent to prison, I'm seriously doubting that he is a police officer at all. Not even a misogynistic policeman could be this ignorant of the law and patterns of offending.

Cycleorrun · 20/05/2023 09:18

I'm inclined to agree knitting.

DrLouiseJMoody · 20/05/2023 09:26

It's quite plain to me who Felix is (no, I am not suggesting he is the complainant). I've encountered the exact same tone and language before, and whilst I'm not going to publicly say to avoid post deletion, I think it's very unwise for anyone to answer him. There's no point in giving the complainant(s) fuel for further complaints. He is not, I am quite confident, a police officer.
