Got it.

nilsmousehammer · 16/04/2023 10:01

I'll hope that's been shared on Twitter to Sunak, the minister for whatever the Home Office is called this week, and to Baroness Nicholson et al.

Whittle's hands are some of the dirtiest in this political capture and mess, but that tweet and dropping of the mask ought to be enough to ensure that Whittle is no longer someone welcomed into high level meetings or to have those hands near policy. Particularly as some of the captured policy begins to be redrawn.

Although I do wonder if Whittle's mask is off because Whittle has not been welcomed or permitted to quietly (cosy cups of tea in closed rooms I think they mentioned before to get ministers to do what Whittle wanted) stop the discussions on the EqA being tightened up so it actually works for females and homosexuals too.

Whittle was on here iirc. I vaguely remember them describing their 'seduction'. All very breathless and cringy. And a bit weird, tbh. Despite identifying as a man, it came across as being deliberately narrated by some kind of fan waving Victorian Miss.

Gets high on their own cleverness and success at sticking it to other women, but now the jig's up and people can see through them, descends into common or garden threats.

And yes to whoever said misogyny runs through this crap like a stick of rock. Doesn't matter if they're a female, although the self hate has to be intense.

And I'm not surprised it's blonde, manicured, bolshy Posie who's succeeded in getting Whittle to positively fling off their mask and stamp on it!

Yes, that absolutely nails my experience of conversation with that particular poster on those threads.

Got a big post dropping at 9am. Would appreciate any help Mumsnetters can give in sharing it.

Got your email as I'm a subscriber, so I'll post up the beginning of it here...

Someone wrote me a stupid message. Can’t remember exactly what it was, the usual pompous pearl-clutching from the new religious police, along with a demand I ‘explain’ how I wanted to ‘punish’ someone or other, so I sarcastically replied.
I get reported all the time by trans rights activists but I thought Elon’s sweep had removed the bad actors within the company. Apparently there’s a few still about because my two appeals have been denied. One would think the “Durr” made it clear what I was doing but evidently not.

Whittle frequently brags about being able to privately influence Bindel due to a decades old friendship.

I wonder if that pisses Bindel off. TBF to Bindel she has called out the violence and violent rhetoric against KJK before.

Perhaps!

I suspect it’s deeper than a few recent braggart comments though - there is stuff online from as far back as 2007 that shows Bindel stating that Whittle is more reasonable than the newly emerging generation of TRAs and Whittle platforming Bindel at ManMet U despite a lot of criticism from team trans.

Whittle was rather quiet in the public sphere for a long period (occasionally popping up in The Guardian or posting here to finger wag at the nasty mummies) but since recent retirement from the university seems to be going full throttle at terves, like a born again Blue Hair.

Perhaps they were both somewhat influential on each other once upon a time (both lefty northerners, probably a somewhat shared friendship group 40 years ago) but the fissure between Women’s Rights and Trans Demands is now too big to bridge?

I’m pleased JB has spoken against the violence directed at KJK (unlike Filia and WPUK who can now FOTTFSOFATFOSM as far as I’m concerned).

Did someone say Whittle has retired?

Having served its purpose, perhaps the mask is being dispensed with entirely.

(Cosy cups of tea. No doubt in a wainscoted library somewhere. Whittle seems to live between the pages of a novel. When they're not inciting violence, of course).

EmotionalSupportHyena · 16/04/2023 10:20

Whittle turned 67 last May.

I’m pretty sure I got the retirement info from this video (will have to re listen for a time stamp). Whittle goes right into defamation territory towards the end, even muttering an expletive. It’s quite informative.

That twit violated the Twitter rules. It says when I open it.

Cannot see any of Stephen’s twits as they are protected.

A couple of times I thought Stephen did apply a bit of a brake to the affirmation for all at GIDS but since the rhetoric has changed, feel same about Carmichael. They wanted to appear balanced and moderate, but it was all a pretence.

Makes sense!
I know someone who has been claiming to have 6 months to live for over 30 years, they have a similar seeming relationship with truth as S’Whittle.

Tish has pointed out the many discrepancies within S’Whittles various back stories on her GC Woman blog…

(I do wonder if the emerging evidence re: hysterectomy and early onset dementia is relevant here, but obvs can only discuss such things generally rather than specifically)

Stephen Whittle: 2022

Recent interview. Adding to my series because it is a very different narrative than the one I have heard before,

Correct - His. Another senior moment!

There was an interesting twitter thread from Stephen earlier this year, it was critical of Stonewall and individual 'trans experts'. It confirmed that the process previously had been to act in secret but also revealed that 2017-2020 activism was fuelled by the desire to make money, led by inexperienced activists and was angry.

Of course it's not. Whittle has been reported, not just to Twitter, but to the police, for inciting violence.

Good. Not that the police will do anything, though.

Interesting - thanks! I've seen them tweet friendly things to each other and it makes sense (as I think you say in a later post) that and they probably know each other from years back and have some shared history. So I'm doubly pleased that Julie Bindel hasn't looked the other way or let this go.

The places he mentions are where the counter protests/support for LGBTQ people in NI are being held. Not the PP venues. PP is not welcome in NI and we are encouraging local feminists to not engage and instead gather at the above locations in the tweet so hardly inciting anything when it'll be (relatively) no where near.

It’s been reported to the authorities.

Take your incitement-to-violence-against-women apologia elsewhere.
