Just to add this minister is a gay man but as the comments show he has totally ostracised the gay community who are quite rightly very angry..
Some of the comments are hilarious but none support his trans agenda. Delighted!

No sorry, I think that I didn't explain properly. Seradent apologies for any offence caused. What I should have explained more eloquently is that trans groups zone in on children who MAY be neurodivergent, telling them that they don't fit in as they were likely born the wrong sex & it's possible to change that. Suddenly they have lots of "like minded friends". Prounons are the start of it. That's why they want to go to the schools to target these impressionable children who are on the spectrum & those who are not on the spectrum but don't fit in.

All I stand by my mental health services opinion. This is so lacking in Ireland even though I think schools are starting to do more mindfulness etc. Social media isn't helping & children as young at 8 now have phones & unlimited Internet access.

In the UK the bodies for MH are captured by trans activists, the therapists and NHS are in my opinion not as well as they once were, they are gaslighting abusers over biological reality and pushing a Eugenics agenda.

If you look into the men who started MH services they are in my opinion misogynistic and anti Moses and his ten commandments. Let's look at what one of the men who started MH services is against then, as these are the commandments he does not like, it's no wonder therapists ended up affirmation that someone is the opposite sex.

These people are full of Foucault Queer ideology, they are a 'no' from me. This is how I see the anti science, Quazi religion of NHS MH services.

@Abhannmor Yes Chambers is definitely flagged for leadership, Castleknock is FF's stronghold in Dublin and he was bred for this. And he will do anything to get it - he was vocally anti-repeal and then after the vote he miraculously had a change of heart and is now pro-choice.

If you look under Rodericks tweet there is a video Peter of discussing something I'd not like to say on here as it's very disturbing . But the video is under the comments of Rodericks tweet for all to see. It's chilling.

Peter Tatchell in his own words. He states he believes that if an adult man says the “sex” (rape) he had at 9 years old didn’t do him any harm, we should accept that as a viable view point. Most people would think that an adult man rationalising his child sex abuse would be incredibly sad and indicative of the trauma and a trauma response. But Tatchell says it offers a different perspective to the idea that it’s abusive.

Who in their right minds believes this? To most, this is always abuse. Why would someone want to blur this boundary? What sort of people would do such a thing or be interested in blurring that boundary between abuse and consent with children? I have a 9 year old DS and the idea he could consider such an encounter as non-abusive makes me physically ill.

And note that Tatchell is delivering this idea to someone who looks pretty young themselves.

I honestly have no idea. I had it out with Jack Chambers at my doorstep but he just remained stone faced and didn't give anything away. I'd say he and Leo are waiting to see which way the wind blows.
There are areas that are very left leaning but not in the woke sense, we have some really deprived communities that are preoccupied with crime and cost of living, they don't have the time or energy to think about pronouns.

Well as the comments under Roderics post show they have also lost the lgb vote.

As much as I would like to think so, I'm not sure how true that is.

From my experience, many LGB people see the trans issue as a community thing that they must support, and R'OG as a prominent gay man is someone they should also support, and may dismiss any criticism of him as simply due to homophobia.

I'm not saying all gay people, of course, but they have been told for several years now that 'their community' is under attack, and many may feel defensive about this. Plenty of well known gay men have come out with the usual 'what's the big deal?' faux naivety, and seem to see this as just feminists kicking up a stink.

Like I say I might be wrong, but I have gotten this vibe before from acquaintances of mine.

Oh my god this 1000 times. The Repeal crowd did my head in with their patronising, head tilt lectures. I had to block several of my relatives on Facebook. No loss really. The next Irish government is highly unlikely to have the Green Party in it, LV barely scraped in on last election so RO'G will struggle and even if he wins a seat, the greens will be back where they were in 2011 political wilderness.
