Just to add this minister is a gay man but as the comments show he has totally ostracised the gay community who are quite rightly very angry..
Some of the comments are hilarious but none support his trans agenda. Delighted!

I am not especially clever so I would be grateful for an explanation of which anti feminist views are being supported on this forum.

I think it's the sort of horrific stuff like this:

"I don't mind if men wear feminine clothes and use a woman's name, but don't you think that them wearing lingerie in department store changing rooms and wanking is a bit beyond the Pale?"

Such obvious cruel refusal to accept such entirely normal women's behaviour is literal violence, obviously.

Leopardprintonsie · 01/04/2023 16:12

My nephew works part time in a bike shop, a trans"woman" came in looking for the men's bike section like wtf... They're men when it suits them!

Some priests objected to young women being forced out of communities and away from supportive families because they were pregnant. Commercial ratepayers in Tuam objected to 'their' money being used to feed the 'home children'. It was never as easy as 'Church bad'. The State and its partner, the business community, played a subtle divide and rule game then, it's planning to do the same now.

Demonising women, and making people suspicious of each other, is always a good start in that.

Who was sensding their washing to the Laundry? I asked that question and my Mother told me her Mother did (My paternal family were the ones who did not make the daughter a laundry slave) and her Mother told her not to marry my Father because of the baby born out of wedlock in his family.

This is no different to woke people going on about slaves who buy cheap goods from slave labour in China - the cognitive dissonance.

The woman hating womanphobes are not liking all the people in Ireland emailing the tds! Panti's knickers in a twist all day retweeting!
Lets up the ante & let ALL our TDs & Ministers know we want womens rights & spaces for biological women only.

Funny enough that actually happened in the store I worked in, he was thrown out on his hole and told not to come back. This was years ago though, so the manager didn't have to worry that he was committing a hate crime.

Re the laundrys I believe it was mostly bed linen from hospitals, orphanages etc, other places run by the church/state.

@RubyRoss we're pro woman and pro children. Even when we get no bualadh bos for it.

Railing against the Church in Ireland these days is a favourite pastime of powerful. It's playacting. It's not 1983 any more, and you aren't a brave iconoclast. You fit right in on RTE, the IT, boardrooms, NGOs, Dublin Castle courtyard, at the best tables that serve the best wines.

Sorry mate, you've won. You got what you wanted. I'm sorry for your troubles.

Absolutely spot on ! 🎯

These people calling us Nazis and Evangelicals are the Great and Good of so called liberal progressive New Ireland. Powerful and well connected.

They know how to navigate the semi state and charity sector alphabet soup. They spend their days organising petitions and open letters to destroy those who refuse to conform to the new orthodox line. See ' Cop on Comrades ' etc.

They want a 1983 mindset to exist so they can define themselves against it.They want continual plaudits for Equal Marriage and Repeal which couldn't have been won without them. Because Irish people are too thick and right-wing.

They are finally being called out on their privilege. And they don't like it. Things could get very nasty.

My Uncle used to wet the bed apparently, hence all the laundry my Grandmother had.

The Irish are strong people, those living there survived genocide (the population never recovered it should be at the UK/German level) You have it in you to fight hard against the woman, child, truth quazi religious colonists.

DeanVolecapeAKAelderberry · 01/04/2023 17:59

Everyone who could afford it used the laundries, and all the hotels and restaurants. Commercial laundries existed, and did their best to compete, but they paid their staff so it was hard for them.

It's important to remember that it wasn't just the imprisoned magdalen women who didn't get paid - the nuns didn't either, and many of them had fairly grim living conditions - part of the reason for their passing their own bad treatment down the line.

CreationNat1on · 01/04/2023 18:25

The nuns bullied because they were bullied. The whole country, then and now, lived under the umbrella of the patriarchy. This is why Panti Piss, Leo, and the boys think they can force their gender woo on all of us.

No way - mutilitating bodies is bad science, preaching falsehoods in schools is child abuse.

If you look at Ruth Hunt/Nacy Kelly, JA in New Zealand, Teresa May and female MPs in the UK Like Maria Miller, Penny Mordant, Layla Moran, Nicola Sturgeon, Angela Rayner, Stella Cresey, you can see that the problem is the Psychopaths who rule us.

Leopardprintonsie · 01/04/2023 18:39

The comments on Roderics post still going strong, very fitting for April Fools Day🤣🤣He's getting absolutely hell, not even the womanphobes are on trying to defend him. Finally it seems common sense is winning out.
That tweet has been WhatsApped so much today, I've been sent it 7 times 😂 even DH has sent it on to the lads due to the hilarious comments.
My gay friends are really pissed off but appreciate the stand taken against Roderic. He does not speak for them & has ostracised himself & Fine Gael even further which is fucking fantastic. C'mon Roderick give us another one to WhatsApp nationwide just for the comments alone plz!

Roderick bit off way more than he could chew with his expanded portfolio. He promised the moon with his plans to end direct provision and have asylum seekers housed in own door accommodation within 4 months of arriving and instead has presided over asylum seekers becoming homeless and a massive backlash against them because of the housing crisis.

He seems incapable of thinking through the consequences of his actions. IMHO he will not be reelected, its going to be tough for most of the Greens (save Eamonn Ryan who seems very popular in his locality) next election, they have not covered themselves in glory during their time in Government.

Like others have said the issue of gender is going to be massively debated because of the referendum. I don't think its going to be the slam dunk that the Government seem to think it will be

Leopardprintonsie · 01/04/2023 19:30

@miri1985 they have lost a very sizable gay community due to their trans stance.

Many English people liken them to Puritans, miserable things wanting everyone else as miserable, witch hunters etc, changing culture and then acting the victims. Checking up on people making sure that they turn up in the new state religion church.

www.history.com/.amp/topics/colonial-america/puritanism

Actually the better comparison is Anglicanism: the senior clerics of which were once very good at getting and retaining the ear of the powerful, while the majority just went along with it.

(Unlike Anglicanism - at least Anglicanism east of the Irish Sea - they now want to make windows into our souls.)

Leopardprintonsie · 01/04/2023 20:32

I can't see him getting re-elected. He's in the constituency with Leo, Jack Chambers FF and Paul Donnelly SF. FG and FF will do everything to get a second seat and are both really pushing the profiles of local counsellors, and then obviously SF will probably have learned some lessons on fielding candidates and will try to mop up left votes with nowhere else to go. Roderic had the benefit of repeal last time, but he's going into this election with the Magdalene redress fuck up and then this bullshit.

Leopardprintonsie · 01/04/2023 23:06

@Jumpersaurus reshare his tweet via WhatsApp if you can, it's been going around all day. Even ended up on the class whatapp groups (& parents got there before me! I was too busy mumsnetting!) There's been alot of angst re the new sex curriculum & Rodericks tweet fits right in with the govt agenda.

I agree. I have friends for whom the only possible attitude towards anything trans-related seems to be unquestionably positive. Nothing there to discuss, nothing to question, only to celebrate.
It‘s like „yay, there are trans kids in our child‘s school!“ - but what I see are teenagers who are seemingly deeply uncomfortable and unhappy with their biological sex which they won’t be able to change anyway… How is that something to celebrate?
Same with males in women‘s refuges, toilets, sports - some people seem determined not to see those issues.

I know, it's incredibly frustrating. Thankfully most people I talk to IRL about this agree that it's batshit. But there are so many who just see this a progressive and wonderful, ignoring any problems or issues. These are rational, educated people who in any other circumstances would be questioning the narrative, open to discussion etc. But now it's alike collective madness, like they've been brainwashed.
For young people I get that they want to fit in and be part of the crowd, and the social pressure is huge. I also wonder if this generation wants their own version of a civil rights win. Like we hear about the heroes of previous generations fighting for equality, and maybe they want to be that hero.

I do wonder in 10-15 years time when those children and young people are adults, some of whom may have been put on hormones and have ongoing health issues because of it, and it's fully clear that they did not magically change sex because that's not actually possible - whether their parents and cheerleaders will finally realise the damage they have done?

I don't think all people on tbe autistic spectrum need therapy. Looking at Prince Harry therapy has done him no good at all.

The autistic people have been groomed and told their whole life that they are doing everything wrong by the neurotypical herds, the trans activists are doing as told after years of being told to be obedient. I think the last thing they need is some misogynistic therapist manipulation. They need to be left alone and learn to be themselves and people to accept that. Apart from inappropriate behaviour like flashing and kicking type behaviour, they should be tolerated.

I am likely on the spectrum, I had no idea until recently that what I do all the time is called stimming. I noted my daughter did this from birth also. We are fortunate that it's hidden. We squeeze our toes to the ball of the foot regularly. I no longer bother with people and things and stop listening to people telling me I must be like them when most are pure idiots like these bullies.
