Let’s move the general discussion about the New Zealand ‘Let Women Speak’ tour out of the thread set up to centre the women speaking at the Australian and New Zealand tours.

The event was over run by violent trans activists. Not only did they use the usual intimidation tactics, but also threw substances at Kellie Jay, the women and the security.

I was watching it live, and every time the video feed froze I was terrified something really awful was happening.

The fact that she, and everyone else is apparently OK shouldn't detract from the fact that they might not have been.

I have so much love, respect and solidarity for Kellie and so much contempt for these arses.

It was extremely intense.

And I am horrified that she also received a threat under her hotel door as she said in the feed.

What has happened in Auckland is horrific.

If there were acts of violence against trans people gathering ti talk it would be condemned by the same media applauding this

But why don't women want these lovely people in places where they may be vulnerable?

The hypocrisy is very clear.

Women speaking is considered literal violence.

What happened after she left? Did women get out safely? Did police move in eventually?

What a horrific account.

If just that happened as a lone incident it would be horrific. The accounts that are coming out now are terrifying when read and viewed all together. It is overwhelming.
