Let’s move the general discussion about the New Zealand ‘Let Women Speak’ tour out of the thread set up to centre the women speaking at the Australian and New Zealand tours.

The event was over run by violent trans activists. Not only did they use the usual intimidation tactics, but also threw substances at Kellie Jay, the women and the security.

Daily mail needs to report this like it is. Women's rights campaigners being assaulted by trans rights activists. Or unhinged men.

We need our media to stand up for KJK and our women's groups.

If young women who are taking part in the protest in Auckland cannot see how they have silenced a women’s rally and potentially one tomorrow, I despair.

I would be appalled if this was the other way around. I would be horrified if a trans person was targeted in this way, or an event supporting trans people. I would certainly seek to correct misinformation being given about at an event, but through discussion and evidence.

Just making sure those who are directly responsible for this, rather than vaguely once stood on the same side of the road responsible standard that KJK is held to, know what their part was in yesterday's shit show

Someone on twitter said that it’s more like what you see happening to women in Iran, I can’t believe that the policing was so weak and ineffective.

I am starting to watch the other footage. These are clearly men destroying the barrier put up to protect women speaking.

This is rather a symbolic piece of footage.

The police deliberately didn’t turn up. This is what they do. 1995, Pakaitore Marae, Whanganui, they didn’t protect peaceful marchers who were also subject to abuse like Posie was, my mum was surrounded by white women shouting and spitting, they did come later to try and evict us though. They just didn’t like the optics of having to break through mostly white women and children linking hands around us for protection.

The police presence was not just ineffective, it was intentionally non-existant until it had already reached a critical point.

Look at the pathetic number of police turning up at the outside of the already gathered mob. They had to try to break through to get to the women they suddenly realised they should be protecting. Thank god for KJK's security otherwise it would have been even worse.

I'm not totally clueless on this but I dont have a comprehensive list.

She's abiding by laws their and regulations and, ostensibly, holding a completely legal rally to let women speak. And she has been violently and relentlessly attacked for doing so, as have the women showing up.

Now is the time for the UK government to show how much they value women's rights.

As I say to media when I complain, what she’s advocating for, is the law in the UK. So NZ and its actual prime minister thinks that campaigning about existing uk laws is hateful and anti trans. Why won’t someone in the uk government respond to that?

Hand this lot canes and scolds bridles and they'd be highly enthusiastic about enacting exactly the kind of historic abuse and oppression of women that you'd think 'social justice warriors' full of 'love' and 'kindness' would have a problem with.
