Standing for Women - NZ tour discussion. (To prevent further derailing of the thread for centring the women)

Let’s move the general discussion about the New Zealand ‘Let Women Speak’ tour out of the thread set up to centre the women speaking at the Australian and New Zealand tours.

This was the live feed.

https://www.youtube.com/live/eDuy2Kx2HlI?feature=share

The event was over run by violent trans activists. Not only did they use the usual intimidation tactics, but also threw substances at Kellie Jay, the women and the security.

I have no idea who Mosely Parker is.

If you have evidence that the Wellington event is cancelled, please provide it.

I’m still checking in to see if the woman from the Mana Wahine group who was doxxed has left her home safely. If anyone else knows? They were going to get her earlier. This is just awful

I haven't actually seen anything official but on the other thread a different poster said TRAs have been posting flight details about the plane leaving Auckland tonight - although whether it's just a rumour I have no idea.

Boiledbeetle · 25/03/2023 09:22

Posted this elsewhere before i saw this thread, so I'll post it here as well

To the posters who have spent the god knows how many threads on KJK slagging her off, accusing her of being aligned with people she isn't. Of womaning wrong and then have the fucking audacity to come on here to gloat and victim blame the women who were assaulted yesterday by Trans Rights Activists thugs just for wanting to talk:

You are the ones who are aligned with the wrong people

You are the ones with the vile views

You are, using your logic, directly responsible for the assault of women yesterday

I how you're fucking proud of yourselves.

I am disgusted at your words on here overnight and this morning.

Whaeanui · 25/03/2023 08:23

If the racist poster from the other thread follows me here to mock my language here too, could we all just literally ignore them please? The last one was particularly gross.

Will do

Helleofabore · 25/03/2023 09:23

I would expect that an alternative site could be found in Wellington surely?

Or has Kellie Jay been told by the New Zealand police that they ‘cannot’ protect her and advised her to leave after the threats to her at the hotel?

Today was a grave indication of the state of policing in New Zealand.

It's increasingly clear that men who are transactivists and gender ideologues are in fact more of a threat to women than other men. The sacred caste element of trans status, the entryism into feminism and women's organisations, the unlimited access into women's physical spaces is attracting the worst, most repellent, women-hating men, and they love that they get to unleash all their sexually-motivated hatred onto any woman who objects to all this with the full support of most politicians, journalists and public organisations. Transactivist = 🚩

zaramysaviour · 25/03/2023 09:25

She has apparently checked in for a London flight from Auckland, @Lockheart. Source here (disclaimer: I have no idea what type of news outlet this is): https://www.stuff.co.nz/national/300839091/antitrans-activist-posie-parker-leaves-country-after-chaotic-auckland-rally

Sydney Morning Herald also reporting her departure: https://www.smh.com.au/world/oceania/anti-trans-campaigner-escorted-from-angry-crowd-covered-in-soup-20230325-p5cv6l.html

I really hope she is safe at the airport and on the flight. I've done the horrendous NZ-UK flight a few times - it's bad enough as it is, without fears for one's safety added in.

Anti-trans activist Posie Parker leaves country after chaotic Auckland rally

Controversial activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull, also known as Posie Parker, has checked in for a flight leaving New Zealand this evening.

I would condemn and abhor violence against trans people.

Its a shame that it is not reciprocated.

If you support what happened in NZ then quite frankly you are a disgusting human being.

Abhannmor · 25/03/2023 09:27

The police are like a cowardly teacher who takes the side of the school bullies.

I hope they review this awful footage with deep shame.

For someone who is posting on a feminist thread, your posts are a record of your own hypocrisy.

Own it.

Either start to post with an intention to engage with some kind of contribution that is not merely reflecting derision, or yes, posters will report you for consistently failing to follow the ‘in the spirit’ talk guidelines. That is their freedom to do so.

What I don’t want is to see posters deleted because of troll hunting. But you can interpret my post in anyway you wish. It is a free world and people are completely free to recognise misogynistic posts when they it is in front of them.

My contribution has always been clear and unwavering - because I’m old enough to have seen what happens when darkness grips the hearts and minds of people who should know better.

Hate is insidious because it is so seductive. It corrupts everything it touches.

It's clearly a country of extremists.

She needs to get home safe to her family.

Hopefully the light being shone elsewhere will help NZ but it's not safe for them to speak at this time. They have a government and press actively working against them.

They have lost their rights, the are not equal citizens.

They have a long battle ahead and I am desparate for them to succeed.

If not, I hope they can get the fuck out of there.

The hatred for women is off the scale.

So would I. I do not wish violence or harm to people I disagree with.

Isn't it just.

The hatred shown towards women in New Zealand is shocking to the core.

MNHQ also mentioned on a thread lately that we should report posters who we have concerns about.

absolutely

especially the ones goading other posters

Ah thank you.

I think the concern was more people turning up at the airport, I think she'll be fine once she's through security. You can't get an unscheduled mob onto a plane nowadays thankfully.

This is it, when something happens to a trans person most of the posters here are quick to condemn the person who committed the crime.

Here though we have women (?!? Hmmm?) Actively celebrating the assault of women and blaming the victims for it.

The levels to which some posters will stoop never cease to amaze me.

ArabellaScott · 25/03/2023 09:34

Women hatred is ugly, and obvious.

The hatred for women is off the scale.

I support Kellie Jay’s decision either way. If she has left for her own safety due to threats, or if she chose to ignore the threats and continue with assurance that the police will provide a protective barrier in Wellington.

I would also support women in Wellington organising an alternative site or venue and continuing if that were possible. I realise though, with the reports of doxxed women not being able to go home and threats under hotel doors is an indication that these extremists cannot respect any boundaries and that this means no alternative site could be kept safe.

A culture that prefers male violence to women speaking

So depressing
