Press conference by Seb Coe stating that male to female transgender athletes who have gone through male puberty will be excluded from female competition!
At last.

That is great news. I'm sad if it restricts athletes with DSD who have grown up as women but this will benefit the majority of women athletes 😀

Well done to Sharron Davies and Fair Play and whoever else putting constant pressure on them.

About time!! Very relieved, but also feeling - why should we have to fight for this in the first place?!

Definite step in the right direction and cannot fault this decision. One small step...

Apparently he's quoted as saying "we're not saying no forever" whilst going on to talk about a working group to do further research.

And this is only for international ranking events, so not sure where it leaves lower levels of competition.

But, it's a massive step in the right direction, which makes a change.

Did anyone catch the DSD rules?
I know testosterone levels have been reduced but missed the details.

Unfortunately, if they have gone through male puberty then they have a physical advantage. Hopefully in the future there may be a third category created or something - which should have been considered all along.

Well done to the women and feminist groups who have been pushing for this for years.

Wow! This is huge news. Common sense is prevailing!

Agreed re DSD athletes but hopefully anyone who this affects will be treated with compassion. It's a separate issue, so hopefully will be kept that way.

I was wondering how the Olympics were going to be run considering different countries have different rules including levels of testosterone.

Maybe its best to go back to basics, you know, based on the sex you came out of the womb with.
