I can’t believe the misogyny and hostility towards women.

Exactly!
I'd say its unbelievable but it's not anymore.

You have produced nothing that is believable. Just misinformation and your own lack of knowledge about the situation on that day.

Helleofabore · 22/03/2023 11:04

CremeEggQueen · 22/03/2023 11:02

How on earth would anyone know if someone is Maoru or not on these boards?!
When its all just words on a screen unless they tell you outright they are?
Or are we supposed to dust off our crystal balls?!

Because the woman was posting about her experience as a Maori woman. It is not actually that hard.

Oh.... hang on.... are you saying that we should not accept people are who they say they are?

Are you really saying that?

Or just showing your extreme prejudice again?

ArabellaScott · 22/03/2023 11:04

FannyCann · 22/03/2023 11:01

So childish. Doesn't really add gravitas to their argument.

Feminists just have to hold strong. All the ad hom attacks and lies are horrible, but ultimately they reveal far more about those making them than the women they're directed at.

CremeEggQueen · 22/03/2023 11:05

washingmachineheart · 22/03/2023 11:01

“The added bonus was that they got to salute while walking in front of trans people in the crowd.”

The very same trans people members of the GC crowd are there to protest against? Saluting in front of that crowd was a bonus to the Nazis… but there’s no alignment to the “women”?

This- how the hell are they not aligning with the "GC" view, when on the trans issue ( for want of a better expression) (or as will no doubt say women's issues) the views align with theirs?!

Helleofabore · 22/03/2023 11:07

washingmachineheart · 22/03/2023 10:55

I can’t believe the attitude towards a group of publicly saluting Nazis in some of these posts.

”Well they're against PEADOS! They had a sign saying it! Aren’t you?!”

The enemy of my enemy is my friend, regardless of their despicable views?

They’re Nazis! That’s how they’ve chosen to position themselves and reflective of their entire belief system. But because they chose to carry a sign on this particular day (interesting choice) that reflects a near universal sentiment then critics of their presence are required to defend their stance on pedophiles?!

If a group of Nazis turned up to my litter pick, no, I don’t think I’d be able to conscience their presence just because they’d brought their bag for life that day.

Disgusting

What attitude? Has any poster supported the Neo-nazis? At all?

Please post the evidence.

Or are people trying to get some posters who seem to lack the ability to think critically or are so deeply entrenched in their own prejudice that their logic is deeply flawed and can be used in the ways we have used it.

The women organising the event and those speaking have no connection to those men and have stated this. They also stated they do not support them.

So, are you just joining in on vilifying women based on misinformation or are you just making a point that is relevant to no one else's posts?

Helleofabore · 22/03/2023 11:08

CremeEggQueen · 22/03/2023 11:05

This- how the hell are they not aligning with the "GC" view, when on the trans issue ( for want of a better expression) (or as will no doubt say women's issues) the views align with theirs?!

And your evidence is where? I see you are still here trying to support something you have absolutely no evidence for.

CremeEggQueen · 22/03/2023 11:09

Love how there's cries to ignore me as you don't like what's being said.
People realllllly dont like dissenting voices on here, do they

Hepwo · 22/03/2023 11:09

There's only lies.

After following this for ten years I can clearly see there's only lies in defense of the core lie that people can be the opposite sex.

As evidenced here on this thread.

Non stop lies and nothing else.

ArabellaScott · 22/03/2023 11:11

Yep. It's just so daft, too. Women who have been feminists for all of their lives, left wing, mostly. Many lesbians and bisexuals.

Suddenly are apparently 'aligned with the nazis'.

Use your brains, people. Does this really sound likely?

PorcelinaV · 22/03/2023 11:11

SlouchingTowardsBethlehemAgain · 22/03/2023 10:57

When your supporters are turning out to be neo-nazis isn't it time to think again? The right wing trajectory of GC 'feminism' is frightening.

http://nizkor.com/features/fallacies/guilt-by-association.html

"Guilt by Association is a fallacy in which a person rejects a claim simply because it is pointed out that people she dislikes accept the claim."

If all you have is this kind of fallacy, isn't it time to think again?

I mean, be honest, you can't actually show that TWAW can you? You can't prove that they have a "human right" to be in women’s prisons can you?

You can only make a fuss over who turned up to a protest...

What?
Are you now trying to say you are for trans rights?
You're happy having trans women seen as women?

You've done a big turn around, I'm impressed. nope wait you having a massive obtuse moment again, I'm sure - although apologies if I now see you on threads saying trans women as women.

Ok. I admit that that can be misinterpreted if you detach it from the rest of the post.

I am saying that these men managed to achieve all their own goals. They inflamed ANTIFA and the Victoria Socialists, they discredited women speaking, and they antagonised extreme trans rights protestors.

The women are speaking about having their sex based rights prioritised over gender, where sex matters.

Did you listen to the women speaking?

Care to point to things that the Australian women said that you disagree with? That you feel were 'hate' rather than speaking about their needs and needs of their family or of other women?

People here reallllllllyyyy don't like it when ploppers turn up and tell lies or make claims with zero evidence and expect to be taken seriously.

You can certainly "dissent". But bring logic, reason and evidence with you when you do so, or you'll be handed your arse.

JacquelinePot · 22/03/2023 11:13

TERDs? TERDs?! 😂Wow, isn't he grown up and clever? Except that's not actually how you spell it, it's 'turd'.

I'm not really familiar with the term 'dropkick' so just just looked it up (sorry if someone already said it, all the early replies to dear Mish made the thread unreadable).

A dropkick is an attacking maneuver in professional wrestling. It is defined as an attack where the wrestler jumps up and kicks the opponent with the soles of both feet

In which case I'm really not even sure what message that guy is actually trying to communicate.

I’m sorry but ‘feminist’ isn’t one group with perfectly aligned views.
It seems to fit your worldview that everyone who has differing views on some issue from you as a anti women, anti feminist, an us vs them mentality. It’s just a different perspective.

It’s worrying when people can’t issues with people who’ve designated themselves as ‘leaders’ to speak for them. And think having published books on feminism makes you more qualified as a feminist, like there’s a hierarchy to it.

I don’t agree with calling GC feminists TERDs.

Women here are happy to support trans rights.

We also want women's rights protected.

The sneers are unedifying.

Australians and Kiwis generally won't put up with the constant attacks on minorities like that which occurs in the UK. They have a fair go for all attitude. That is what you are seeing. Saying it is "misogyny" is lazy. Green politicians, women, also stood up to Posie as well. Was that misogyny or hand maidens?

Really proud of the aussies, and next it will be the kiwis saying that this sort of anti-trans rhetoric is not welcome there.

There is a difference between debate around areas of legitimate concern, with stats that show its an issue to be addressed, versus self promotion and stiring up communities.

When nazis turn up at your event, invited or not, expressing support for you, it really has to be a rotten cause.

This tour has been an own goal for KJK. Few turning up to support, (except the nazis!) many, many to oppose.

I think the politician comment is apt. It's against this form of non feminist protest (as PP says!) versus calm and legitimate conversations.

Thanks for the share.

Strewth Mate, you're so right. Australia is absolutely 100% against racism - ask any First Australian. And Australia has totally stamped out misogyny- that's why you can legally buy a woman to fuck in Melbourne.

ArabellaScott · 22/03/2023 11:16

Thanks for clarifying, Jujuj. I also don't know what you mean by 'leaders', or having books published, though.

CremeEggQueen · 22/03/2023 11:18

We're saying on this issue against this particular minority!
Its the exact same mindset as an Anti Semite thinking they dont align with Nazis as "it's only on this one issue, I dont agree anywhere else, I dont share views on disabled people, and anyway Hitlers a vegetarian, are you saying you disagree with that?!
Seriously, what?

How is it so hard to understand? I honestly think some aren't getting it on purpose, or are in full on denial.
Got to be, surely.

No, he means a dropkick as in Aussie football (actually now banned but used to be common), similar to rugby. Basically dropping the ball to the ground, then kicking it a long way.

A big turn around? I think you are having a massive obtuse moment.

I don't agree that any male is a woman. I fight for sex based rights for female's where they need to be prioritised over gender. There are rights such as protecting female inmates in prisons, keeping males with testosterone benefits out of female sports categories, ensuring that female rape victims can have a female only space, and in general that female single sex spaces are maintained.

If you don't agree with my priorities, that is fine. I won't be calling you names. And I won't be telling you that you align yourself with groups who you don't align with.

But crack on. If you think that me not seeing any male as a woman in the areas of law were women and girls rely on sex being prioritised is against 'trans rights' then that is your issue. I also know that there are many trans people who agree with me and not you.

Who made you the spokes' person for all trans people?
