Now from what I understand, she's making the point that if any man can claim to identify as a woman and then enter women's toilets, perhaps the solution is for all men who want to protect women to say they identify as women even though they clearly don't and enter women's spaces just to prove a point about how easy self ID is to abuse.

I don't agree with her. I don't think any man should be using women's toilets for any reason, even to prove how easily self ID can be abused.

And I think the "maybe you carry, maybe you don't" comment was unwise. It's not actually relevant. Loads of people carry guns in the US, including many women.
