I love creme eggs. I think their existence is valid and adds to the glorious diversity of food choices we enjoy.

I do not however believe they are real eggs, or that a recipe for omelette will be the same if one decides to make it with creme eggs.

Because some things are not other things even if they happen to use the same word, and that is OK. Celebrate creme eggs for what they are. Just don't make the claim they are actual eggs, and don't cancel real eggs just for existing.

As a side note, finding myself grimly fascinated by the idea of a Creme Egg omelette, I have just been on the hunt for odd creme egg recipes. I discovered a recipe for Creme Egg Toasties on the Cadbury's website and although I know the idea is not a million miles away from, say, chocolate spread on toast, it is giving me the boak.
