It's taken a concrete example in the real world, Isla Bryson, to make politicians realise they can't use that tactic now. Well, not unless they want to be seen to be visibly promoting harm to women prisoners.

If FWR were to introduce an annual Tenzing award for services to sherpa-ing, Isla Bryson would be a strong contender this year.

I can't believe we are celebrating this, I mean, it's good news and obviously the law needs to change but how in the ever loving fuck did we get to a place where stating the blindingly fucking obvious "men shouldn't be in women's prisons" even needs to be said, considered, handwrung about??
I'm furious. I'm furious that such stupid people can get into the positions which have made this possible, and I'm even more furious for all the women who have been terrorised and tortured whilst being held captive.
It's evil that this was ever not only allowed to happen but there are people out there sick enough to actively campaign for it and be allowed to get their way at the expense of the dignity and safety of the most vulnerable women.

Women have been saying that this would happen/was happening for years and were told to shut up and be nice.

This was the obvious consequence of the Irish GRA, I remember saying it in a comment section when the GRA was introduced and was responded to with "Jesus wept"

Why is this a biological male because of imprisonment but would be a "woman " if they wanted to play sport or access womens spaces or opportunities

IMHO if Isla Bryson hadn't brought down Nicola Sturgeon he would still be TWAW
