Wtf is going on? Another violent man being moved to a women's prison in Scotland. A man so violent they can't even take him to court and NHS staff refuse to treat him.

There is a massive long queue of these violent men, not just in Scotland, but in the rest of the UK, who the media have up to now declined to let the public know about.

I'm not sure if MN allows us to call them men so this post might be deleted, but the reason this is happening, is because the media have not been informing the public and so a tiny bunch of activists have convinced the people in charge that this is the right side of history.

The media do seem to be letting rip about all this. These men are known about, although I didn't think this particular maniac had been given leave to go to a women's prison.

Hopefully it won't actually happen, but the process to let it happen will continue to be challenged.

I wish the media had reported on it more, but at least they are now allowing the floodgates to open. Driven by commercial self interest, I'm sure.

Oh, but he's an ex male, you see, with female feelings aka mini skirt, low cut top and bright pink lipstick, so we MUST believe "her" and let "her" have access to the vulnerable women, many of whom have already experienced violent, abusive relationships with males and sexual violence. Because only "her" feelings matter. Not their right to safety from penis and emotional trauma. Only "she" matters.

This is so outrageous, of all the psychos to put in women's prison they green light this one. (Not that any man should be housed in a women's prison). The prison officers association better start protecting their female members too.

Given the current furore on the rapist case, I can’t help wondering whether the person who made this decision is actually one of us! The timing is spectacular.

It is spectacular timing. I wonder who the “source” of the information is? Perhaps this is someone who works within the prison service who saw an opportunity to get the story out there at a time when it could have the most impact.
