Okay, so I'd like some good old reasoning on this as I appreciate a lot of you are more insightful than me!

I believe men have 0 place in women's toilets, changing families or women only spaces.

But this tripped me up... what do I say to this? It popped up on twitter and I don't know what to argument would be

This woman was questioned because she looks too masculine. But she is indeed a biological woman through and through

What is the answer? I just don't know

So have we stopped talking about Tiffany now you've been proven wrong?
Any apologies for saying that gender criticals had doctored the photo?

Why are you taking it personally?

I'm not taking anything personally.
It's just very interesting how the conversation changed when you were proven wrong.

LK1972 · 30/12/2022 02:08

@RedAndBlueStripedGolfingUmbrella Well, the name is familiar to me, so who says you should be deciding what is and isn't called for? Sorry, did I miss the memo that it's in fact you who is the MN police?

Onnabugeisha · 30/12/2022 02:08

LK1972 · 30/12/2022 02:05

@Onnabugeisha 'the physically intimidating types don’t get challenged.' - yes, that's when women get staff involved, when they are intimidated, is that clear to you now?

Not really. Most of them say they keep their head down and have a secret chuckle about the TW thinking they are passing when they aren’t.

It didn’t change..it became a closed topic and we moved on.

EvilBee · 30/12/2022 02:09

Weird..I've had a GC say the same thing as me. Could you reinstate what is acceptable for you again?

😕 lol at the I'm rubber, you're glue type response 😁
I just meant so what if the poster has been on other threads? They're allowed to be on this one too, that's completely irrelevant?
Just like if they're a trans woman too like you say.
There's no law saying trans people can't comment 😕

So what reason do YOU think the newspaper obscured her badge?
Why are they calling her 'she' when her badge clearly says 'they/them'?

Blister · 30/12/2022 02:14

Anyone got the instagram link to the Chinese woman who was re-educated like a week or two ago for this particular sin against a transwoman?

And it sounds like give me an example has turned into give me many and anyway anything you provide will never be enough.

Women are adult human females, always were, always will be. Your fake tits don't make you one. Your 'feelings' don't make you one. Really confused about the arse bit, is yours extra feminine in some special way?

Yes, it'll always be n+1.

As I recall, Katie D was challenged when trying to force a child to undress. It's rather a shame that one of 'her' companions (I think that there was a support worker with 'her') didn't say "no, you can't go in there" beforehand. Then that 10 year old might have been spared.

It speaks volumes you can’t even provide one single example from the U.K. though. One TW booted out of the woman’s toilets. Not even one.

Not even one sexual assault by a TW being prevented either by women policing the toilets. Not one.

Yet we are being told the threat from TW is so great, that we must challenge what almost always turns out to be a GNC woman,

At some point you have to ask, is this cost worth it if it’s literally for nothing?

Im really baffled to be honest. It makes no sense.

That doesn't stop those of us with non existent looking tits, or short hair and not "feminine looking" enough from being challenged though does it?!
Shit happens apparently.

LK1972 · 30/12/2022 02:22

@Onnabugeisha 'Most of them say they keep their head down and have a secret chuckle about the TW thinking they are passing when they aren’t.' - maybe, in the past, before some men decided they are entitled to our spaces.

Not so much now I guess, nicely confirmed by Tiffany stating that sometimes women 'get members of staff to question why I'm there'

MargaretMead · 30/12/2022 02:23

I haven’t come across this case but in general if you choose to present in a gender non conforming way, you will get the occasional sideways glance or comment. Most people don’t mean any harm by it, usually they are just curious.

I used to have a butch style and a muscular build, my breasts looked more like men’s pecs due to the amount of weight training I did at the time. One day I was questioned by another woman at in a sports centre changing room, with her teen daughters. She asked me, are you in the right place. When I replied it was clear from my voice that I was a woman, she was mortified and apologised profusely. It it was a little awkward but ok, we had a bit of a laugh about it, and whenever I saw her again, which was fairly often, she smiled and said hello.

I think it must have been someone else? Katie D was never challenged in any womens toilets. The victims raised the alarm after escaping.

Tiffany isn’t what I would call physically intimidating.

Perhaps you should direct you ire at men who insist they're entitled to use women's?

Please explain me where it hurts you when someone asks you if you're in the right toilet, because according to my daughter it's not a problem in any way, and she understands why it happens?

Blister · 30/12/2022 02:27

Or how to prove it isn't possible to prove a negative. Don't being sexual assault into this. We could be here for ages.

Blister · 30/12/2022 02:27

*bring

LK1972 · 30/12/2022 02:31

@Onnabugeisha 'Tiffany isn’t what I would call physically intimidating.' - to you, perhaps not to all women?

Still don't understand why you're so keen nobody ever asks anyone if they're in the right toilet.

You've even suggested it's contrary to the law, which is quite amusing.

Yep, that's exactly as described by my daughter.
