Having ACTUALLY watched the video it's obvious that the older woman harrassing her is deranged and out of order, being aggressive and abusive, discriminatory, demanding to know personal information on an obsessive level and standing outside of the cubicle waiting. Not okay.

I always remember I told a ‘man’ that he wasn’t allowed in here as it was the women’s bathroom (this was 10-15 years ago so less chance of being trans) and it turned out it was a female!

I know you were acting in good faith, and 10 years ago we were living in a different world, but this is a real concern now.

Every time a woman calls someone out and gets it wrong, it gives those who have are using the space when they shouldn't be, the ammunition to argue that we can't always tell.

I don't think I could call someone out (unless I was 100% sure) but I would probably chose to leave the space, perhaps even with a comment that I'll come back at a more suitable time.

But we absolutely can't be misgendering woman. It's really not fair, and a female should be able to present however they wish.

The woman who harassed her wasn't even in the bathroom by chance, she intentionally followed her in to confront her.

The outcome is the woman who harassed her was asked to leave the premises by security who are still investigating.

If this is genuine its what worries me for my own dd. She dresses androgynously and always gets stared at in ladies toilets. Once she opens her mouth its obvious she is a girl, but as a teen I don't think she is tough enough mentally to cope with the conflict. I wish people would mind their own business.

It's a bit like the (questionable) stories about female athletes having to have 'genital checks' to check who is male and who is female - lots of TRAs up in arms about how terrible that is, but rather conveniently missing the glaringly obvious point that if males stayed the fuck away from women's sports there would be no need to be checking anyone for anything.
