The antipodean fruit growers site is down. A statement from the owner reads in part:

What I fear more than losing my site, being sued, or dealing with police is living in a world where [redacted by me as would be against MN talk guidelines] while normal people are not allowed to even discuss it.

The mob has already planned subsequent targets. Should we stay down, they will then attack 'gender critical' communities - especially those ran by and for women. No place can exist online which criticizes [redacted], and nothing would excite them more than this power and domination struggle being inflicted on a female space instead.

Either free speech exists for everyone or it exists for no one, it doesn't just exist for special people.

And if they have crossed to criminality, there is a police force in each country to take it up with. You don't get to make that call.

The latest travails of the website in question have come about in relation to a particular trans activist. This person has gathered together an assembly of influential people, particularly progressive journalists, who firstly want to take down the website but also have kept themselves ignorant about the nature of the person they're seeking to support.

Kiwi Farms actively bullied Chris Chan over many years. The worst was when they got a 14 year old boy to have phone sex with him by telling him it was a 19 year old girl. They then told him it was a child and threatened to tell the police unless he stuck a medallion up his arse on camera. Chris Chan is actually pretty vulnerable being a severely autistic man. The whole circus was just a form of cruel entertainment for them.

Members of KIwi Farms have also been targetting the LGBT server my daughter runs. At the peak a few weeks ago she could have 100 people a day calling her a faggot and telling her to kill herself. I guess you think harassing a young lesbian is ok if you want the site back online.
