JKR and more bomb threats

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 06:59

JKR posted on Twitter that a user of another account posted her address, a picture of a pipe bomb and a handbook for making bombs.

If you are defending these people, you are defending terrorism now. It’s incredible how low they will go and still try to claim the moral high ground (although I suppose that’s space and they can’t really help thinking they should have all the space?).

That is disgusting. And yet women are the ones told we are evil, mean, nasty and the worst people ever. I don’t see anyone but the TRA doing shit like this. I’m sure we’ll be told ‘it’s just a few crazies on Twitter, normal transpeople are not like this’. In that case where are the ‘normal trans people’ condemning this? If ‘transpeople don’t do this,’ where are the people saying ‘not in my name’ and getting this shut down?

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 07:11

I actually agree that most trans people aren’t like this. I don’t do guilt by association or non-association. But the basic demands of the trans movement are unreasonable, and pointing that out has been getting reactions like this for too long. It has to stop.

I do think most trans people are not like that, but they need to stand up and condemn this shit. This is being done in their name. They cannot complain that ‘people are scared of transpeople for no reason’ when their ‘allies’ are sending bomb threats, rape threats and murder threats to women. And it is usually women who get the worst of the abuse. The only reason people feel emboldened to do this is because no one says stop it.

Artichokeleaves · 02/07/2022 07:16

There's a type of person who will escalate through levels of offending until they hit a boundary. The police will have a hell of a lot to answer for when this level of escalating confidence ends up in someone really being hurt. The political cause is irrelevant: the offending behaviour is perfectly obvious. It's insane that women are arrested for stating biological fact but social media is littered with death threats perfectly acceptable because they're from one particular political view.

Ffs would the government of this country get a bloody grip.

‘Ffs would the government of this country get a bloody grip.’

Yes, please!

Are the police investigate these threats? And if not, why not?w
Do any of these big companies, ie: The Halifax et al, actually take note of what is happening, ? do they realise what they are supporting?
Why isn't there a big uprising of the these "ordinary trans people " ?
Why aren't trans people in the public eye denouncing g this behaviour?

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 07:19

‘but they need to stand up and condemn this shit. This is being done in their name.’

Many trans people are vulnerable people with significant mental health problems. They aren’t responsible for what an aggressive minority choose to do. But the rest of us really have had enough of it, and we need the government to intervene and sort out the priorities of the police. Misgendering isn’t a crime. Threatening to blow up someone’s house or body is a crime.

We are told ‘both sides of this debate are as bad as each other’. So where are the bomb threats and rape threats from the other side? This is where the whole ‘transpeople are the most oppressed ever’ comes in. If a woman states biological facts, taking into account the oppressed status of transpeople, it is violent abuse. If a transperson sends a rape or death threat, it is a revolutionary act against the oppressing class. It is why they are so obsessed with the narrative. Their tactics do not work without it.

But women are held accountable for anything one woman says or does in this debate. I’m sorry but transpeople being vulnerable is no excuse. Vulnerable women are standing up and putting themselves out there so vulnerable is not an excuse. They are targeting vulnerable women, or do they not count?

MishyJDI · 02/07/2022 07:28

How do any of you know a trans person is behind this? Talk about jump to conclusions and condemnation. Let the evidence be pursued and justice follow, rather than piling in….

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 07:30

‘But women are held accountable for anything one woman says or does in this debate.’

Agree. Guilt by association. It’s a fallacy.

They count for me.

I hope Jo has passed this one to the police. It's time these violent extremists were held accountable.

I don't blame ordinary trans people. I think their movement has been hijacked by violent thugs and they are too small in number to have any power to stop them. I would like to see higher profile TRA supporters condemn this but I doubt they will.

I remember a thread on here about OJ being assaulted, he has few if any fans on this board but every single poster condemned the attack. There were also tweets from people he has been vile about tweeting their best wishes for him.

It makes the "both sides" claims infuriating because it bears no relation to reality. The GC side does not initiate or condone violence or violent threats.

Well the trans flag in the username if the person posting it kind of gave it away….

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 07:31

@MishyJDI

The person’s photo is on the suspended account and was caught in the screenshot of their activity.

OP posts:
Conflictedunicorn · 02/07/2022 07:35

@MishyJDI but you are right, this might not be a transperson doing this, it may be someone emboldened by this whole debate to abuse women. But we can’t tell, that is the problem. This whole debate has become so toxic, it is allowing arsewipes like this free rein to unleash their misogyny, knowing the police won’t do anything. If they had sent this to someone who is vocal on any other topic, you can bet your eyes the police and Twitter would have been all over it. This is why gender ideology is so dangerous.

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 07:38

It could be a fake trans person. I don’t rule that out. But I’d expect people like Katy Montgomerie to say something more like, ‘That’s awful,’ than ‘GC people supporting JKR are losers’. This does seem to be centre ground for TRAs.

Abhannmor · 02/07/2022 07:59

Going by his Twitter name he is Irish or lives here.
Some poor ould Mammy is dying of embarrassment now. 😳

It's quite possible he isn't trans tbh. Just a messed up fantasist or 'stylist' as they used to be known. Reeks of attention seeking. But then..
you never know. I hope the police have been informed.

Sunlight is the best medicine, but also she can tweet what she likes - she isn’t the one sending death threats.

She probably has taken it to the police, they don’t seem to have done anything about any previous rape and death threats but i live in hope

she can tweet what she likes…bit weird saying she shouldn’t retweet and not making a comment about the original tweet

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 08:24

‘I imagine most accounts with 15 million followers+ get these sort of threats often, if you retweet you're feeding the troll and encouraging others.’

I want to see what is happening as a result of the widespread public monstering of JKR. The journalists, writers, blue tick ‘feminists’, high profile activists, actors, singers etc who have joined in with the barrage of hatred directed towards her should see it too. It’s entirely in the public interest.

Re whether the poster was trans, if they say they are trans, they are trans so can’t be “fake trans”. And whether they are trans or not, they are using the flag, which makes them a trans rights activist.

What I really don’t get is how tweeting a tasteless joke about bombing an airport ends up in a prison sentence but a tweet advocating bombing an author and her family and providing a handbook and address to do it is absolutely fine.

Because transpeople are the most oppressed and vulnerable people ever so anything they do is acceptable and righteous.
