JKR and more bomb threats

achillestoes · 02/07/2022 06:59

JKR posted on Twitter that a user of another account posted her address, a picture of a pipe bomb and a handbook for making bombs.

If you are defending these people, you are defending terrorism now. It’s incredible how low they will go and still try to claim the moral high ground (although I suppose that’s space and they can’t really help thinking they should have all the space?).

So hold on, I thought we were all supposed to #bekind? Or is that only women? If I identify as a transwoman am I allowed to issue death threats with no consequences?

First rule of misogyny innit. Women are responsible for men's actions. Also second rule, women saying no to men is a hate crime.

Just because a male person transitions to live as a woman doesn't necessarily mean he gives up the rights and privileges of male behaviour.

I don't make up these rules it's just how it is.

We are told ‘both sides of this debate are as bad as each other’. So where are the bomb threats and rape threats from the other side? This is where the whole ‘transpeople are the most oppressed ever’ comes in. If a woman states biological facts, taking into account the oppressed status of transpeople, it is violent abuse. If a transperson sends a rape or death threat, it is a revolutionary act against the oppressing class. It is why they are so obsessed with the narrative. Their tactics do not work without it.

This is the clearest explanation of what is going on I have read

How do any of you know a trans person is behind this? Talk about jump to conclusions and condemnation. Let the evidence be pursued and justice follow, rather than piling in….

Why would any one else care? I'm sick of reading of the excusers and #bekind

On the plus side, this thread has reminded me to pre-order the new Strike book, so JKR 1: TRAs 0

I think my posts have made it very clear any threats are acceptable.

Whoops. Not acceptable I meant.

No, you got it right the first time Margarita.

It's worse than that.

Women don't even need to state an opinion, say anything about biology or facts or anything as definite as that. We're just not to ever point out anything that is inconvenient to the male-centering narrative.

If a woman (JKR) calls out the death/rape threats, she is 'punching down' on self expression.

If a woman points out the harm being done to her, she is 'weaponising her trauma'.

I have never, in my whole fucking life, heard anything as abhorrent as politicians saying rape victims or women who'd experienced domestic violence should not talk about the experience because it was 'weaponising their trauma'. I'll never get over that, I don't think.

No, it’s not something I thought I’d ever hear in my lifetime.

Quite.

It's at that point, it becomes clear that all this airy fairy exotic language is nothing good, nothing progressive and should not be tolerated, and the deal is off.

You cannot engage reasonably with a person who is unreasonable. You cannot play games involving this power imbalance with someone who can talk the hind leg off a donkey trying to convince you to co operate nicely with being abused.

Two minutes on the relationship board nails exactly what this is and women here recognise it. It's time for the Freedom Programme, for Lundy Bancroft, for strong boundaries and a world of no, because women on MN get abusive behaviour that comes dressed up like this. Here we teach other women to get it too. We teach them about the scripts and the techniques, and how to not enable it. And this is primarily why they hate us so very much.

Twat behind bomb threats unmasked & of course he’s some kind of social warrior.

Misogynistic twat unmasked

Conflictedunicorn · 03/07/2022 19:30

Oh @MishyJDI looks like it was a trans person after all, we weren’t just making assumptions. Wonder how the traliban will spin this. I bet ‘not really a trans person’.

Abhannmor · 03/07/2022 19:38

He is against ' Image Based Sexual Abuse ' especially revenge porn! This young lad is terribly confused. Typical Toytown revolutionary from UCD. Probably not dangerous but I hope he gets at least a caution.

PearlClutch · 03/07/2022 20:19

'End ISBA official Twitter revealed M was one of its team members certified by Ohana Zero Suicide in crisis awareness training. Just prior to deactivating his Twitter account, M abused women critical of gender ideology and, in at least one archived instance, suggested a feminist commit suicide.'

That's a novel way of putting crisis awareness training into practise.

I think he may have failed the course. Or misunderstood what he was supposed to do 😂

Artichokeleaves · 03/07/2022 21:22

I suspect rather like safeguarding, many such courses are 'time served' rather than any kind of demonstration of learning and competence being required. a hamster could be certified in many courses if it was registered on arrival and collected a certificate on the way out.

This really needs to change.

PearlClutch · 03/07/2022 21:52

YY Artichoke.

I'm also taken aback by how there often seems to be an inverse proportion of some kind going on by how much someone lavishly describes themselves as 'kind, loving, fair, wants to help others' and goes on about their wonderful selfless personality - and how horrible they actually are in interpersonal interactions.

PearlClutch · 03/07/2022 21:53

You know, the more '#bekind', the more death threats. It's an odd correlation.
