It makes their moods all over the place.

I mean us perimenopausal women take hrt for few other essential functions as well, but just as long as your moods are even mate.

So I think it's being assumed that i'm against Women in some way which is kind of weird. I'm happy learning more about women's issues and thanks for sharing the source of notourcrimes and Thomas Davies, i'll have a look

SpindleForTheWorld · 04/06/2022 18:36

JellySaurus · 04/06/2022 17:43

What does that even mean?

And how is anyone supposed to know or care?

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 18:39

By asking. If you don't have a chance to ask in conversation then assume, if they correct you then use that knowledge, it's not hard

@Pennox You have literally just proved my own point.
Considering the suicide rate in the UK www.statista.com/statistics/282203/suicide-rate-in-the-united-kingdom-uk-since-2000-by-gender/

If you use the statistics you just quoted and compared to the male suicide rate which is much higher Trans People are x39 times more likely to commit suicide. Not to mention the statistics I quoted also included those considering suicide and suicide attempts which are separate statistics

You're not a social scientist, are you? No, didn't think so. What a load of rubbish.

Are you going to get your post with the offensive term in it deleted?

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 18:44

@viques I can understand the frustration of Trans Women competing in women's sports to be fair. I mean looking at Lia Thomas and her height, build etc... similarly it's been proven that Trans Women tend to have a better cardiovascular output so it's probably not right for Emily Davies to compete really.
The way of fixing this is to have a separate category for Trans Women and Men but because Transphobia it would make these kinds of events controversial as well.

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 18:47

No but I did take Electronics which required Maths and I can do basic calculations. I stated later that it's an estimate because i'm comparing different years and countries but if you take even just the slightest glimpse at the UK statistics for suicide compared to the figure I was given of a 0.6% suicide rate then the suicide rate is much higher

If it's not an illness, why does it need medicating?

Thought of an answer yet, Slow?

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 18:50

@Belovedfool No your right, i'm bound to make mistakes. Doesn't mean i'm an idiot but i'm sure i'll be labeled one anyway

There's no probably about it. Women's sports aren't a retirement option for mediocre males -

And a look at www.boysvswomen.com will show how athletic teenage boys can blow women's Olympic records out the water.

And I feel like I'm playing chess with a pigeon, so right back atcha, sister.

😂

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 19:06

@axolotlfloof As I said before I was using Cis to distinguish between the 2 and not confuse people I wouldn't walk to a non trans women and add that prefix obviously. It's also not a derogatory term.

and no Transmen are men, Transwomen are women. I thought being a feminist thread there would be a push for true equality but clearly not.

Why is the feminist forum filled with anti-trans posts as well. Surely there is a more disturbing rise in toxic masculility, incels, pickup artists, groups that preach for equality but really belittle it like Men Going There Own Way

JellySaurus · 04/06/2022 19:08

a non trans women

Blimey, changed feet!

Stick around, lass. You won't agree with everything and everybody, but you really need to get beyond the mantras and really think through what you're being told.

Waitwhat23 · 04/06/2022 19:09

Ah, TWAW, TMAM and cis, all in one post!

Transwomen are really upset by HRT shortages
slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 19:11

@JellySaurus I'm only using it because apparently the word Cis is now offensive

JellySaurus · 04/06/2022 19:12

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 18:39

By asking. If you don't have a chance to ask in conversation then assume, if they correct you then use that knowledge, it's not hard

Why should I ask how a person wants me to talk about them when they're not there? How are my perceptions any business of theirs?

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 19:14

@JellySaurus Sorry i'm a bit confused, i'm not sure what you mean

JellySaurus · 04/06/2022 19:16

OK, you want people to dictate how others should speak, so you will no doubt be willing to use the accepted terminology on this board:

Woman refers to any adult female human.

If you want to refer to a non-female with a trans identity, the accepted terminology is transwoman.

This last is not language imposed by us, but imposed upon us by MNHQ.

Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious · 04/06/2022 19:17

and no Transmen are men, Transwomen are women. I thought being a feminist thread there would be a push for true equality but clearly not.

Well they aren't are they? Trans women are biologically men and trans men are biologically women.

Belovedfool · 04/06/2022 19:17

You say twaw because they say they are women. Yes?

Women are right here, telling you they find the term "cis" derogatory, yet you're telling us that we're wrong.

Can you see the double standards?

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 19:24

@Butitsnotfunnyisititsserious So the Trans Women that undergoes gender reassignment surgery and takes HRT is still a man even though they are taking oestrogen which has been shown to fundamentally change how a person thinks and not just appears on the outside.

The only difference is there chromosomes and some physical characteristics that cannot be changed.

slowpoke5001 · 04/06/2022 19:27

Yep I know I phrased that last message badly, periods, pregnancy also exist, apologies. I'm gonna grab something to eat, been messaging for a few hours now and clearly no one aggress with nearly anything I have to say
