Whilst obviously pregnancy and periods are specific to Cis Women there is the claim that trans women don't also suffer discrimination, sexual assault and go through the same kind of distressing puberty.
This dismissive attitude to women's pain makes me very angry. We may not speak about it much but it accompanies us through life. First, debilitating monthly menstrual cramps that over the counter medicines won't touch. When I was young we were told it was all in our heads. Then pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding. Painful but so rewarding. Then the menopause. Hot flashes seem trivial, but it is not all about the heat. Mine, multiple times a day, are accompanied by a feeling of dread, anxiety and tightness in the chest.
It is deeply insulting to equate the supposed "discrimination, sexual assault and distressing puberty" trans women experience, to the reality of pain in womens' lives. It indicates transwomen really have no idea what it is like to be a woman.
