Yes, it’s the Mail. No, I’m not apologising. This is fantastic!

@EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn

There was a thread here five or six years ago where posters imagined the headlines as soon as the press got wind of what's going on. It felt as though it must be imminent because what was happening was so bad. But its taken years.

And doesn’t it feel great to have been in it from the start???? The days of the red T-shirts, Speakers Corner, the Westminster Hall debate when Layla Moran told everyone she could see souls!

So many Spartaci, so little time !!
Beowulfa · 01/04/2022 07:38

Never thought in my lifetime a newspaper would have to feature campaigners explaining that women don't have penises.

Hold the line women....

Hoardasurass · 01/04/2022 07:39

This is great news and is truly the end of no debate. Which was the only possible way for people to agree with them because as soon as men and women realise that what we are talking about is the removal of all safeguarding and safe spaces from women and children by allowing biological males who are physically intact to enter any womens spaces just because they claim to be a woman and the general public knows that's wrong

SpringHasSprungYay · 01/04/2022 07:39

@Mrstwiddle

It’s fantastic, I really don’t understand all the hate for the Mail, you’d never get something like this in the Guardian.
It's probably the most racist paper in the country. 🤷🏻‍♀️
Noisyprat · 01/04/2022 07:41

This is great and I am glad they are calling out the Conservatives as well as Labour MPs. I am going to write to my MP on this, we need to keep this in the news and keep putting pressure on until we get proper actions and commitments from parties.

ScreamingMeMe · 01/04/2022 08:00

It's an excellent article. Maya is a force and I am so happy we have her fighting our corner.

WeWillLookBack · 01/04/2022 08:06

This is article is brilliant - the quotes are fab. Whilst I know them - it is still shocking to read them.

The light really is shining, and we are looking at the end of the 'No Debate' mantra - but this is just the start of the fight. The men and women who did this - the AGPs, the Drug companies, the 'Cool' gang - they wont give up easily.

Helleofabore · 01/04/2022 08:10

Three women out here being vocal about the need for debate and clarity.

Thank you Maya, Caroline and Heather.

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 01/04/2022 08:10

The start of the fight was back in 2015 or so when Venice Allen organised the first We Need to Talk event, and when Nic Williams sent out teams of women in red T-shirts to tell people what was going on. We’ve come a hell of a long way since then.

Maybe this is the end of the beginning…

Great!! So much sunlight we should all be applying factor 50.

WhatyoutalkingaboutWillis · 01/04/2022 08:10

This really is fantastic. Maya, you have been so strong and so resilient and we owe you so much. Be very, very proud xxxxx

axolotlfloof · 01/04/2022 08:12

I have been "brave" enough to like it on Facebook, but not brave enough to actually share Maya's post.
It's wonderful that it's out there though.

Clymene · 01/04/2022 08:14

That's such a great article. And a really good campaign. There will be no excuse for the blank 'I don't know what you're talking about' I got from my labour candidate in the last election when she knocked in my door.

Waitwhat23 · 01/04/2022 08:14

Properly brilliant - was very pleased to see this.

It's notable that the Guardian still haven't done any sort of article about the rape of a woman on a hospital ward but had a piece about the 'first transgender MP' (you know, the one who isn't changing his appearance or pronouns).

GeneLovesJezebel · 01/04/2022 08:15

They appear to be reducing the number of comments allowed, as there were 4 comments at about 7am, and there’s still only 4.

Waitwhat23 · 01/04/2022 08:15

All positive, at least!

GeneLovesJezebel · 01/04/2022 08:16

This is great to see.
I’ve nothing against people being whatever they want to be, but there desire doesn’t trump others safety.

Tabasco007 · 01/04/2022 08:20

@orangeisthenewpuce

This isn't on the mail online. Interesting.
Yes it is, i saw it this morning.
lovelyweathertoday · 01/04/2022 08:23

@Bobnotpop

What a wonderful way to start off the day.

Do you think some readers will think it’s an April fools joke? I mean, some of the MPs responses read like a joke.

Wouldn't it be brilliant for someone to question Keir Starmer about it on the basis of it being an April Fool and him have to say "no, the Labour Party really has lost its grip on reality".

stepawayfromtheminstrels · 01/04/2022 08:27

My browser is blocking their website as it supposedly contains pornography.... funny that doesn't happen for any of the TRA websites (not that I've noticed). Suspicious.

TheWayOfTheWorld · 01/04/2022 08:32

I wonder if they restrict the comments in order to bolster the likes/dislikes? Each of the 4 comments has 3-4 thousand likes.

CrowUpNorth · 01/04/2022 08:33

Most significant female movement since the Suffragettes? Hmmm.

Slothtoes · 01/04/2022 08:34

Flowers Keep sharing it! Let’s keep celebrating this. I’ll start by writing to my MP to get the response on the record. I’ll share the reply with the three campaigning organisations.
It would be great if they could compile the results everyone sends in, so we can all make an easy comparison on this issue at election time.

PennyPinkPineapple · 01/04/2022 08:36

This is great news.

How can we ask our local MPs before May 5th election?

SirSamVimesCityWatch · 01/04/2022 08:36

@TheWayOfTheWorld

I wondered if those comments got in before the comment moderation team woke up.
