@UnconditionalSurrender
Now I'm conflicted. I cant support anything that uses the Daily Mail or GB news. They are fascist outlets and a vile stain on this country, no matter how much of this campaign I agree with. It starts to align the feminist campaign with the ultra right and that's something I can't get on board with. I see people saying they'll be voting Tory for the first time because of this issue and I despair really.
These outlets are not pro women - they are using it as part of the culture war to rile up the whole anti woke thing. I know people on here will disagree with me and think any publicity is good publicity but I just don't buy that.
I really wonder when I read something like this - do you actually know any people who vote Tory, or are conservatives?
Because I get the impression that there is this contingent of people who believe that as soon as you cross some ideological line there are all these men who think all women should be barefoot in the kitchen without any voting rights.
I know people all across the political spectrum, and that's just the most ridiculous idea. There are plenty of women conservatives, many who are career women and very successful, in politics, in business, in academia. And lots of non-white voters also prefer the right side of the political spectrum. Including in the US, as it happens.
Who is the "ultra" right supposed to be? Members of mainstream political parties? Anyone who ever watched fox news? Steven PInker?
