Yes, it’s the Mail. No, I’m not apologising. This is fantastic!

I hope those splendid women are having a lot of support this weekend.

It shouldn't need this much courage to speak simple truths.

Chrysanthemum5 · 02/04/2022 16:09

And I see the woke bros are making rude comments about the three women in this campaign and their appearance - if that's the best they can do then Caroline, Heather, and Maya can have the satisfaction of knowing they've got them scared

Waitwhat23 · 02/04/2022 16:31

There's a neckbeard bro who did a particularly poor photoshop attempt to humiltate the ladies in the photo. It backfired spectacularly when women, with much better photoshop skills, have shown their contempt of him.

EthelTheAardvark · 02/04/2022 16:31

When push comes to shove, most of the major newspapers are mixed.

You really can't suggest that all papers are on the same level. The worst that the likes of the Times, Guardian, Independent and even the Telegraph doesn't put them remotely close to the Mail's history of really appalling lies, bias and bigotry.

Movingonup22 · 02/04/2022 16:41

@Waitwhat23 oh do you have a link to that??? I do like a good commupance when bearded dudes show that unique contempt for middle aged women

I can indeed. Scroll up from the image to see the initial, poor photoshop from neckbeard bro -

😂😂

Torin · 02/04/2022 18:12

Just on page 7 but am bloody confused by those saying they won't 'support' (strange word choice) the DM. How exactly do you think you can evoke change if you refuse to acknowledge when a publication does finally publish something that needs to be said. Do you want journalists/papers to continue writing crap that destroys womens' rights?

If you 'click' or share an informed piece that they write, it will make a difference to the direction a paper will go in. The more people read an article the more the paper will print articles along the same vein. By just simply refusing to read anything they write because they are the 'DM', you can never help push them towards writing the kind of news that you deem worthy. If you ignore these articles they will just disappear, popularity counts. Please do your bit and show them that this is the direction that would make you a reader.

BraveBananaBadge · 02/04/2022 19:36

Hold on a minute - it's all cut and pasted from PA covered quite sensibly and factually here in... The Independent!

Wait, what? Being A Man festival? Doesn't sound very #inclusive does it?

I'm sure it will have followed the same pattern as the celebrations of International Women's Day, with transmen being selected for all the promotional interviews, and centred in all coverage.

All the posters, magazine articles and headline performances will have featured transmen, giving them plenty of opportunity to expound on what it means to be a man. While the bio-men applauded wildly, and gushed over how important it is to always highlight the needs and comfort of transmen in any male dominated environment.

I imagine all the bio-blokes eagerly absorbing the pearls of wisdom cast before them, and vowing to become better allies. Especially the gay ones, who tend to be most in need of educating on the subject of their duties regarding gay transmen.

The women are on the march in London: www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10679587/Gender-rights-activists-chant-respect-sex-want-X-London-protest.html

'We are not afraid to be called women': Gender-critical activists chant 'respect my sex if you want my X' in London protest as they urge politicians to protect single sex services and spaces
•Protest led by three main groups- Sex Matters, Women's Rights Network and Women Uniting
•Activists said single-sex spaces which should exclude transgender women include sports competitions, toilets and some hospital wards
•Said their movement is growing 'exponentially' but has remained largely online until now
•Marched from statue of Emmeline Pankhurst to Milicent Fawcett sculpture in Parliament Square
•Campaigners chanted their slogan 'Respect my sex if my want my x' on the protest

Yes aside from missing a quite crucial word out thereGrin, I can't quite believe it's been used by the Indy at all - or at least not edited as such to denounce 'evil t**fs'. It's a straight report using the same agency copy as the Mail.

Well done to the reporter for getting it through. A one off, or is the tide turning?

Monitaurus · 03/04/2022 12:39

Is Maya still looking for carrots?

Shout out for the Womens Rights Network - very easy to join your local group by just sending them a DM on Twitter. Taking action at various levels to support womens sex based rights.

Slothtoes · 04/04/2022 10:22

For the future historians: posts on this thread have been lifted for a Daily Mail piece:

Thanks - going to join my local group and attend the upcoming hustings. Questions will be asked!

@Datun

Women have performed a bloody miracle getting this issue into the public domain at all.

Social media, all the left wing papers, left-wing outlets, the BBC, every political party - they've all thrown women under the bus.

So fucked off with people wagging their fingers at women for talking on the very few platforms who let them.

You'd think, wouldn't you, that someone like Karen white, who raped a woman so badly she cannot have children, who said yes I'm a paedophile and if you put me near children I will rape them, and who had a string of rapes behind him would be on the front page of every newspaper in the land when he was sent to female prison.

And when was that ? Four years ago.

No-one gave a shiny shit. It's taken women years and years to get this issue on the front page of a fucking newspaper.

So no, I'm not about to start turning my back on them, for fuck's sake, because they had no choice.

Talking of the BBC.

The BBC take many women to court for non-payment of the licence fee [this will only get worse as cost of living increases.]

The BBC fail to report that they support putting rapists into prison, the place where they put these women.

The BBC, home of Saville, appear to still be facilitating the rape of women, through their actions.

Yet you cannot boycott the BBC as you risk being put into prison, for non-payment of your licence fee, and risk being incarcerated with rapists, which is never reported by the BBC.

The BBC are not just throwing women under a bus, they are pissing on them once they are under the wheels.

EmpressaurusWitchDoesntBurn · 04/04/2022 10:47

I don’t have a licence. Perfectly legitimately. There’s bugger all on there worth watching most of the time so I don’t.

How the hell am I supposed to know if the trans in the shared pool changing area where I take my niece's daughter, is genuine? Why should I need to even think about this.

And what difference does it make? I don't want to be in a changing room with any male. Even one who truly believes in sexist stereotypes.

Misogyny in its purest form.

Slothtoes · 05/04/2022 08:10

Well said. Not wanting men around plenty enough reason for not having men around.
