What does one say to this argument? I’m instinctively sceptical but I don’t know if I’m right to be.

It’s nice to be nice

Unless the people in question are women and girls asking for single sex spaces. Because they’re expected to give niceness without getting any in return.

It's a one way deal, no one is interested in 'being kind' to traumatized rape victims who aren't able to access support groups because a TW won't attend the men's group or the trans group and isn't even satisfied with some womens sessions being mixed gender while one session remains single sex. No one want to 'be inclusive' to female athletes. No one wants to 'be nice' to women who's religious beliefs prevent them from being alone with in related men. No one cares about females being scared, upset, or hurt.

@MyLittlePhonyPony

Good he is in the system Velvet. I'm sure you are on it, but do note any behaviour changes if he has any visitation with his father.
oh he doesnt see him, and doesnt want to he's terrified of him.

Ah ok, that is good to hear. Do keep an eye out for behaviour changes and ask the school how they can assist you.

Does he manage ok at school? My DS8 won’t use the toilet without me in public but will use the toilets at school fine! Typical. We tend to use the disabled though, which suits a lot better than bringing him into the women’s. He will use the men’s if I’m not there with his dad and his brother - would that maybe be a solution for you? If there’s a favourite uncle/older cousin or something that could support him?

Kanaloa · 30/03/2022 20:16

I just meant maybe with support from familiar loved ones he would be able to try out using the men’s/feel more secure in doing that.

Fine in school but then not everyone uses the same toilets, Y7 and Y8 share one, y9 and 10 another etc. so theres no actual men in his school toilets and wont be until he is a man
