Assuming this is a way for predominantly children to circumvent parents and get their hands on a binder.

I reported the IG post - it should be removed. As I reported one of the trans women who ‘liked’ the post for their pictures in a gimp mask stroking their erection. Good company you’ve got there Lush - in both senses.

IG is rated 13, yes?

While I was there I saw his Downfall video - hysterical

@foxgoosefinch My post was about small local traders selling smelly soaps, not binders!

Grin my apologies, Monday!

This is so disgusting I don't even know where to start. Surely there is a massive safeguarding issue here?

What next? These people are sick.

Good. Get it out there. This needs wide publicity.

Why does this all fall under the umbrella of LGBTQIA??

When only one of those letters, as far as I'm aware, will be interested in breast binding?

Same with pronouns? Only affects transgender people or those who do not feel they identify with their birth sex.

Is non binary even part of the LGBTQIA community??

Blackandwhitehorse · 09/11/2021 19:13

Just seen they’ve now nearly deleted all of the very reasonable comments calling them out

IsThePopeCatholic · 09/11/2021 19:29

They’ll be encouraging breast ironing next. Ugh.

ArtemesiaK · 09/11/2021 20:18

@MintMe That's just what I was going to say. People on Insta are saying "well done Lush for supporting the LGBT community", but what has breast binding to do with LGB? Apart from perhaps persuading young lesbians that they're really "trans" if they fancy other girls....

ArtemesiaK · 09/11/2021 20:20

Also the males, however they identify, who are supportive of it. Ugh.... what's it got to do with them?.....

All these people, so invested in kids they have no understanding off or connection with. It's so fucking creepy. They give such little fucks about these girls they're happy to sacrifice them to an ideological cause.
Elleexxtra · 09/11/2021 21:24

This - so sinister

Yayaga · 09/11/2021 21:31

This is really bad. I was 12 back in 1999 and hated that I had started growing boobs. I would have picked one of these up for sure. There was nothing gender conflicted about me.

Thefartingsofaofdenmarkstreet · 09/11/2021 21:32

Lush is a big company. They will have to lay out how the young females coming for these binders have been assessed to understand the effects of using a binder, including potential damaging effects, and assessed that they are mentally competent to undergo binder usage. They will have to declare who is doing that assessing as well, and what their credentials are to be able to do this.

Otherwise they risk getting their arses sued to hell by parents of under 16s who have not given permission for their child to be given a binder.

Also, I really think the promotion of this is really sinister. The 'X' in this advert signifies a 'collab'. It's used a lot at the moment in social media marketing to entice young people into buying stuff from their favourite influences eg. Pretty Little Thing X Molly-Mae or Anne Summers X Maura (for Love Island examples!) but is used very widely.

The fact that it's been used in this way to promote breast binders is just sick to be honest.

Thefartingsofaofdenmarkstreet · 09/11/2021 21:34

Cannot believe they have been deleting comments on this as well!

Lush could get itself into deep shit over this.

lunar1 · 09/11/2021 22:02

Is there any medical or psychological care being provided by Lush with the body modification devices being handed out to children?

FemaleAndLearning · 09/11/2021 22:28

I can't find the link to the application form on gender swap. I thought it may have a declaration for age, though how they would confirm that I don't know. Gender swap gave lots of partners and also sell packers. Packaging is discreet according to FAQs.

They’ve not (yet) deleted all of the negative comments, but they’ve definitely removed many tens which were negative feedback from this morning. I liked a fair few and all of those have gone.

Some of the woke bro supportive comments - do they never stop to reflect on what they’re doing? It’s just full on doubling down.

Good

Serves them fucking well right

CheeseMmmm · 10/11/2021 01:34

Just reading. Another thing is. Have they considered that young girls might travel info London alone for this? Lie to parents? Possibly arrange to meet others they've met online (who could be anyone)?

Here. Says for 16+ only but how rigorously is that going to be enforced?
