I wonder would the mainstream media and radio give several weeks worth of platforming to a transwoman?

I love the implication that you think mainstream media shouldn't have let Professor Kathleen Stock speak. Any reason why you think the media should have censored her?

Well, Davina Thomas had multiple weeks in the Torygraph detailing her social and medical transition. Was it 2019? I feel as if it must have been as she talked about going to social events.

And Freddie McConnell was the centre of a documentary feature film about his pregnancy and giving birth.

And Sophie-Grace Chapelle (sp?) had a big feature interview in the Guardian about being a philosophy professor at a tough time for trans people - perhaps the closest equivalent.

And Shon Faye's book has had at least one serious review this year.

And I just read a piece today about only getting trans parts by a trans actress. Argh name escapes me. Devan something?

Not to neutron of course there may be lots of media pieces out there by trans journalists who I don't know are trans.

So, yes, in general.

Ask Caitlin Jenner.

Yep plus Munroe Bergdorf getting to speak at a bunch of corporate “international Women’s day” event and do the keynote at the Women’s film festival at the BFI

Paris lees has been in The Times, the guardian, Lorraine, even the NME, has presented shows on the BBC1 Abd channel 4, has a column in vogue and even fronts an advert for womens shampoo.

But yes of course you’re right margarita, TW get hot coverage at all 🙄

Theeyeballsinthesky · 07/11/2021 20:26

No coverage!

Cismyfatarse · 07/11/2021 20:34

And you can't turn around without India Willoughby flashing breasts or being interviewed.

Ekofisk · 07/11/2021 22:40

Lynette Nusbacher pops up regularly on Abandoned Engineering and talks about really interesting stuff - does that count?

MargaritaPie · 08/11/2021 00:07

So a transwoman is in an advert for women's shampoo.

Is this a problem?

Would you like a wooden spoon?
ErrolTheDragon · 08/11/2021 00:31

Did anyone say it was a problem?

TrevorFountain · 08/11/2021 00:37

Caitlyn Jenner is pretty ubiquitous. Very interesting on sports.

ItsLateHumpty · 08/11/2021 00:42

Isn’t there a 3 strike MN ban or timeout thing anymore?

PS PIE, you're over baited the water, hence 🎣 isn’t catching much 🤷🏻

Material Girls by Kathleen Stock review — the ideas that frighten the trans bullies

Given Transmen only make the news for pregnancy related things, I'd like to see a transman all over the media for something else.

However that never seems to happen. I wonder why? 🤔

PermanentTemporary · 08/11/2021 07:59

I'd point out that Stephen Whittle is one of the most influential people in the world in progressing trans rights.

Ereshkigalangcleg · 08/11/2021 08:39

Not true, they also make it for complaining to the NHS, the media and companies who sell female health products for "inclusive" language about "menstruating people", "people with ovaries" etc.
