It's just started!

TedImgoingmad · 03/11/2021 10:03

Thanks for the heads up. Top item on the programme!

Scoutingformygirls · 03/11/2021 10:04

It's on now!! Great intro to issues by EB. Calm, clear and just utterly sensible

Just came to check in! Woman's Hour going once more to the place on the map previously marked HERE BE DRAGONS. They're making themselves quite at home there.

Excellent.

yetanotherusernameAgain · 03/11/2021 10:05

Her first interview since she resigned (from a post she'd held for 18 years).

Over 3 years of low level bullying.

Listening now...

WinterTrees · 03/11/2021 10:07

The full toll of this can be heard in Prof Stock's voice, but she's really setting out the background of this so well.

EB giving her the chance to speak uninterrupted.

Scoutingformygirls · 03/11/2021 10:08

Poor Dr Stock sounds so affected. It's really sad to hear.

Ratherly · 03/11/2021 10:08

Oh goodness it's so upsetting to hear her speak - she's been so badly let down.

Thank you Kathleen for speaking out on this at great personal cost.

superram · 03/11/2021 10:08

Sent in a message!

IntemperateSpirits · 03/11/2021 10:13

I'm glad she got some comfort from all the postcards and flowers, in such a totally shit time.

TedImgoingmad · 03/11/2021 10:15

I've sent a text. She sounds so dejected. Dear lord, if my student child had been involved in the hounding out of this woman, I would feel utterly ashamed.

astoundedgoat · 03/11/2021 10:15

God this is awful. She's been so badly treated.

endofagain · 03/11/2021 10:18

Thank goodness BBC, WH and Emma Barnett have come to their senses and are actually covering this topic now. I stopped listening to WH years ago, but I will listen to this later.

EdmontinaDancesWithOphelia · 03/11/2021 10:19

How the hell has Sussex University allowed things to get to this level of malignancy? It makes their statements pretty meaningless.

I trust she’ll move on to much bigger and better things. And not be silenced.

HH76ds31 · 03/11/2021 10:19

She sounds so measured, articulate and intelligent.

Etinoxaurus · 03/11/2021 10:21

Utterly calm and measured. Extraordinary woman 💪

Yes, thank goodness. Weirdly, it makes me even angrier to think about how long they ignored it though.

It's an incredibly moving testimony, and so important that it's heard.

TedImgoingmad · 03/11/2021 10:22

@GCmiddle posted this the other day. I will be sending her a card and supportive message.

Her literary agent Caroline Hardman has offered to send them on. C/o Hardman and Swainson, S106, New Wing, Somerset House, Strand, London WC2R 1LA.

Mummyoflittledragon · 03/11/2021 10:25

Just tuned in. Thanks. Will listen to the whole thing once available.

IGotHam · 03/11/2021 10:26

She is so articulate and calm. Well done woman's hour for giving her a platform to talk
