I saw that earlier, an absolutely shocking response from the FM, so utterly dismissive.

and she was absolutely right. How bigotted of any Tory to pretend they would be "for women's rights" when Tories have, for the past 11 years, made so many decisions that have made, in particular women's, lives harder. That's why I was so angry that those Tories were allowed to stand with the WWW crowd. It is a cheap point to score for them, a win win, they get to NOT do anything that actually helps women AND they get to oppose Nicola Sturgeon.

That really is outrageous - and very sad.

I think part of the problem is that she’s so far down the road now she has no way back. I mean how can she turn around now and say “oops I was wrong”? She can’t, she’s thrown everything behind it. There’s no way back so she has to go on

She really is awful. She should be properly grilled on her proposals and be made to spell out exactly what her definitions of women and trans are. What her position is on female sports, prisons, refuges and single sex spaces.

Here we all know what she thinks but I really think she needs to be made to own it using very clear language for the Scottish public.

Probably won't happen as she'll deflect and dodge any opportunity anyone has to do that.

Sigh, the discussion is about the reaction of the SNP First Minister of Scotland to a demonstration by Scottish women about women’s rights.
To be clear, I don’t hate anyone.
You have no idea about my background.
What I hate is lack of transparency, deceit and dismissal of people with real concerns.
Especially when the SNP plays the moral superiority card at every opportunity.

Isn't her husband being investigated for a financial scandal?
I'd suggest that the SNP is pretty much entirely bought by whoever has the most cash. The Labour Party in Scotland were the same when they had the overwhelming majority of the vote too. Scottish politics has always been pretty murky.

I'll leave you to your hate fest - as said. The GRA reform is going to be passed. Nothing detrimental will happen to cis women, trans people will get their GRCs with a less degrading process. People will wonder what the fuss was about.
