I think the other amendments won't pass either... we're going to lose on the freedom of speech in private aspect too.

I think the only way women can be protected is by declaring ourselves non-binary. Or perhaps if wearing trousers I can call myself a cross dresser and thereby find protection under this Bill.

It might be the only way forward.

Of course the whole premise of this Bill is fucking chilling.

I suspect our best hope is a run of protests & attempted prosecutions, or malicious complaints that make the bill unworkable. It'll be interesting to consider which TV & radio shows may be consider hate speech in Scotland if this passes. Any comedy based on their chosen protected characteristics will potentially be open to prosecution.

Tomkins' amendment says that it will not be a hate crime to criticise law regarding gender identity etc

Criticising policy is not a hate crime

not a crime to discuss matters relating to gender identity

Elaine Smith checking if following are allowable:

a woman is an AHF

Womens prisons shoudl only be for biological women

etc

Tomkin's amendment would allow us to have the discussion we h ave on FWR

If we can't discuss these things or make statements like 'sex is binary' we are fucked, ladies
