Feminism: Sex and gender discussions

Staniland Question is so good. Can we think of others?

The Staniland question:
Do you believe that male-sexed people have the right to undress and shower in a communal changing room with teenage girls?
is so clever. The fact that so many people refuse to engage with it - let alone answer it - means it's a quick, powerful, way of showing how ridiculous the TWAW position is.

Can we think of any others that would be as effective? Maybe we could come up with 5 or so really sharp questions that TRAs could refuse to answer. My first thoughts are something along the lines of:
Why is it racist to identify as another race but stunning and brave to identify as another sex?
I'm sure somebody can word that better.

So any suggestions? The questions need to be short and clear.

@MiladyBerserko

I have no idea why she gets the credit for this question. Posie was asking this directly with regards her 11 year old daughter way before
Well, that will be because Posy was banned from Twitter a long time ago, and Helen wasn't, so she has been able to go on asking it and it's got a lot more traction in recent months. I hope this is an early sign of the tide turning.

If sex is so difficult to determine, how have the Taliban decided who is no longer allowed to go to work?

MordenLarch · 30/09/2021 19:19

@Labobo

What is the difference between a man and a woman?

My super-woke DS1 would say: That question isn't relevant because the trans movement is about people who have been born into the wrong sex. So they are women in men's bodies and therefore non-binary. And actually, I'd agree with him that this question can get closed down very quickly. He also says the bathroom argument is a straw man because there have been no cases ever of men posing as transwomen to access women's loos and changing rooms in order to assault women. I would love to know if he is correct on this.

We had such a long discussion about this recently. At least it didn't dissolve into a row. And to be fair to him he did say my constantly pressing the feminist argument has led him to realise it is a lot more complicated than he once thought .

A quick look at transcrime.uk should educate him!

@jj1968

Should shop assistants, security guards and changing room attendants be required to establish what genitals people had at birth before they can be permitted access to toilets and changing rooms?

And how would they do this?

I like this game.

No, but it shouldn’t be mandated in law that make people can access female only spaces. It’s not difficult to understand.

Should a rescue dog that has a fear response to men due to past abuse be re-homed with a trans woman?

LangClegsInSpace · 30/09/2021 21:39

@newstart1337

The simpler the better.

Can a woman have a penis?

Yes, all the Labour politicians should be asked:

'Is it transphobic to say only men have a penis?'

ThreeLocusts · 25/10/2021 15:45

On the point of there being no male equivalent of 'menstruator' - isn't 'wanker' a candidate here....?

Franca123 · 25/10/2021 16:21

Best one I heard is, would you leave your child at a nursery staffed entirely with trans women? If not, why not?

Mnusernc · 25/10/2021 16:26

Which men am I allowed to be afraid of?

DryHeave · 25/10/2021 16:53

Should prisoners ever be at risk of pregnancy from fellow inmates?

Covers male and female prisoners. Side steps the “men are raped in prison too” line.
