The Staniland question:
Do you believe that male-sexed people have the right to undress and shower in a communal changing room with teenage girls?
is so clever. The fact that so many people refuse to engage with it - let alone answer it - means it's a quick, powerful, way of showing how ridiculous the TWAW position is.

Can we think of any others that would be as effective? Maybe we could come up with 5 or so really sharp questions that TRAs could refuse to answer. My first thoughts are something along the lines of:
Why is it racist to identify as another race but stunning and brave to identify as another sex?
I'm sure somebody can word that better.

So any suggestions? The questions need to be short and clear.

I think it's because a lesbian either has to have or like penis. Any hint of not liking penis is bad so they can't just simply be referred to as a lesbian. Need a hint of bad character or 'not really a lesbian' to go with it

Well yes, if TW are saying they can also claim the word 'female' for themselves, perhaps FGM might include circumcision. 🤡

Should people be able to self-identify as trans-age so they can go back to school/youth club or claim their pension sooner than they would otherwise? Should the date on their birth certificate be changed accordingly?

Should people be able to self-identify as 'trans-height' so they can bypass the safety limits of that funfair ride?

Should people be able to self-identify as having a different blood group than the one they were born with, because they feel they were 'born with the wrong blood group'?

I hope this is sarcasm as there is really no comparison between the absolute barbarity of FGM and circumcision, distressing though it might be.

The Stanniland question is very easy to answer: nobody has a right to undress in front of anyone, neither legally nor morally. In truth, there are “societal understandings”; a kind of broader version of the “gentlemen’s agreement”. For example, we understand that a happily married couple consent to be naked in each other’s presence. There is no legal or moral right to that, nor is there any form of implied consent simply because they are married. It is understood because of the nature of the arrangement. Either party can contest that understanding at any point.
In the same vein, it is understood that if you enter a changing room, you consent to be naked in front of whoever is permitted to be in there.

I wasn't trivialising it or anything, just shining a light on how important words are and that they mean what they are intended to. The appropriation of our words is contemptible.

She was either being massively goady with that tweet or she's so mired in the ideology she didn't grasp the point Almut was making.

She mostly seems confused about what she's arguing.

It honestly didn't seem to occur to her that a little girl could suffer FGM and not be "cis".

Now that she's realised that it would have to be 'cis girls and other people with a vulva', will she realise exactly how awkward it would be for Hibo and others like her to have to say all that? Hibo is trying to deliver punchy, effective messages that make people stop and think about a tradition and persuade them to reject the tradition.

She's not trying to lull people to sleep or write a Butlerian thesis that 5 people will read.

I think if dating app creators want to be inclusive they just have to be upfront about it. What seems to be getting attacked are apps that want to remain same-sex orientation. And it makes no sense for TRAs to want to be allowed on those apps as they would think it was full of t*s. Why would they want to date someone who wouldn't entertain dating a transgender person who claimed to be the same sex (but wasn't)?

I think many transwomen who register on these sites are seeking the total validation of their new gender identity. Straight women are not enough as they are attracted to the male body, so it has to be lesbians

I went on POF looking for a female partner. Fully one in twelve people were transwomen.

Yes, Stefonknee is a rather disturbed individual, I think. It appears that Stefonknee has been convicted of a crime previously, but declined to say which one. If I were parents of a young child, I think I would want to know precisely which crime Stefonknee had been convicted of before allowing them to spend time with my child.

Stefonknee is quite good for questions:

Do you believe this person is a six-year-old girl?

Do you believe this person is female but not six?

Why do you believe that they are transgender but not transage?

If you believe that some people are born in the wrong body but that Stefonknee is not one of those people, why not?

Should Stefonknee be treated as a six-year-old and allowed unfettered access to children's spaces?
