Fucking hell, who designed that graphic? Why don’t the women have faces Confused

That ratio is glorious.

mum2jakie · 24/10/2020 08:39

Oh god. Come on, we all know that if a bloke is bleeding between his legs, he needs to find medical attention not a Tampax!!

Hmm - I use Tampax Pearl. Any non women friendly alternatives??

Babdoc · 24/10/2020 08:43

Fabulous! Serve them bloody right. Pun intended.

EdgeOfACoin · 24/10/2020 08:45

Am I right in thinking that BodyForm hasn't (yet) gone in for this nonsense?

I know there are still companies out there who know what a woman is. I certainly won't be buying anything from Tampax again.

Not on Twitter so can't contribute to the Ratio.

BaronessWrongCrowd · 24/10/2020 08:45

The ratioHalloween Grin

persistentwoman · 24/10/2020 08:46

What is rather wonderful about Tampax alienating 100% of their target demographic is how many women (and some men) are finally confident enough to openly challenge this.

CottonSock · 24/10/2020 08:49

What were they thinking !

FairFridaythe13th · 24/10/2020 08:49

Tampax and friends of the earth.

World gone mad!

PotholeParadies · 24/10/2020 08:51

Beautiful ratio.

Friends of the Earth have got one going too, and, from the look of the comments, went on a
blocking spree in response.

ThinEndOfTheWedge · 24/10/2020 08:53

These days - when somebody starts a sentence with Fact: i know for fact, it isn’t.

But like when people use the word ‘literal’ as in literal violence which now means the exact opposite.

BingBongSong · 24/10/2020 08:53

Tampax is owned by Proctor and Gamble, who also own Gillette, Always and Pantene. I'm half expecting to see this agenda pushed in their next Pampers adverts too Hmm.

Proctor and Gamble brands

EdgeOfACoin · 24/10/2020 08:54

I didn't see a single positive message in the Tampax thread.

mummadaffodile · 24/10/2020 08:55

What on Earth is happening to this world. Everyone’s going bonkers! 🤦🏻‍♀️

KnightsofColumbusThatHurt · 24/10/2020 08:57

So the idea that only women menstruate is now a 'myth'? Gaslighting alert!!!

EdgeOfACoin · 24/10/2020 08:58

Love this comment on the Friends of the Earth thread:

This bullshit is why you are now going to spend the next 72 hours arguing about the existence of women and not about saving the planet. By the end of it you’ll have blocked thousands of feminists and still think you are the good guy.

Floisme · 24/10/2020 09:01

Right so if my son had started bleeding from his genitals when he was 11, I should just have said, 'Congratulations, darling, you're a person who bleeds.'

Not only nonsense; irresponsible, dangerous fucking nonsense.

SarahG6383 · 24/10/2020 09:05

I’m confused about all the hate. Surely they are trying to include transgender men. Transgender men still bleed every month and I’m guessing here, don’t like being labelled as a woman? so I get it. So it’s including them too?

AwaAnBileYerHeid · 24/10/2020 09:09

Jesus. I bet Tampax with they had Bodyforms marketing team!

FairFridaythe13th · 24/10/2020 09:09

And what sex are they?

aliasundercover · 24/10/2020 09:11

@EdgeOfACoin

That comment is beautiful.

What do FotE think they will gain from this? That post will not get them a single extra donation, but by the end of this there will be some who have cancelled their direct debits.
They are blocking people who are interested enough to read their Tweets - that's actual and potential supporters.

Cabinfever10 · 24/10/2020 09:16

Well that's done it time to buy a moon cup

Apassingglance · 24/10/2020 09:20

Wow. I've seen it all now. Will make an effort to avoid buying Proctor & Gamble products from now on. Way to go to their PR teams. A lesson in how to alienate your main market.

Bit odd to decide that the business you will receive from 17 year olds is worth more economically than that from the over 30s market (presuming that is the sort of marketing conversation they had.)

LajesticVantrashell · 24/10/2020 09:21

@SarahG6383 - then, at a push it’s women and transgender men, or women and others. But it is not inclusive to remove the biological name of 99.9% of your customer base.

ErrolTheDragon · 24/10/2020 09:23

Fact: Not all women have periods.

Yes, we know. HmmAnd I don't know of a single woman who's ever complained about a product such as this, which can only be used by women but which she doesn't need or want herself, complaining about it being described as being 'for women'.

FairFridaythe13th · 24/10/2020 09:24

Funny how tena men never get this crap.
