How can anyone defend that tweet though?

It doesn't stop it being said, however much it's minimised.
It's beyond me how people can be OK with it.
It's a rude tweet from a woman who does not believe that men can become women, who believes that men dressing as women is a fetish (do you believe that that doesn't exist as a fetish?), who believes that women's oppression is not something that can or should be appropriated by men, and who compares men putting on 'womanhood' like it's a costume to white people wearing black face.
There is nothing threatening in the tweet, she doesn't call for anyone to be raped, to die, to choke, to be punched etc. She is not inciting violence.
No, I don't particularly think it's an OK thing to write, it's very harsh and rude, but it comes from a woman who was fucking sick of seeing the oppression of her sex appropriated by males. She didn't always go high, but JKR always does, and look at the shit that she gets, so what is the point anyway?
And, as we keep saying, it's the only example of 'transphobia' that these people can find out of the 17,000 tweets that are still available for all to see on Magdalen's twitter. If she was really hateful, there would be loads of examples wouldn't there? I cringe every time they roll it out, not because of the tweet itself particularly, but because its always the same one!
