Young women don't know what a woman is

This is absolutely staggering.

The latest poll commissioned by Wings over Scotland on the subject of self-ID, finds that all demographics in their majority believe a woman is an adult human female.

Except young women.

"The 16-34 female demographic actually voted by a narrow six-point majority that a person’s sex has absolutely nothing to do with biology. Even the next-closest group (young men) was a staggering FORTY points adrift from that view (net -34), and middle-aged women were close behind them at a net -36. Among women over 55 the margin against self-ID was a crushing 62 points (over 4:1 against), with older men at a breathtaking 10:1."

As a woman in my mid 20s I know exactly what a woman is - someone who likes pink and wearing dresses obviously!

In all seriousness though I think theres 2 categories of people my age 1) never really thought about it and just read TWAW
2) spent their teenage years on tumblr, want to be 'woke' TWAW

I know a couple of transwomen and I would argue they arent nice people. One is basically wanking over themselves in a skirt on facebook. The other is a female cricket player, always thought they were lovely but they are clearly either oblivious to the harm they are causing or dont give a shit about actual women. Hes just another misogonistic man really, neither of these transwomen actually like women in anyway shape or form.

The only reason it will crush transwomen to be told they are male is because as a society we have played lip service to it for so long, we have been able to convince vunerable people that they can become women. And thats simply not true. If we didnt spend so much time pretending TWAW it wouldnt be such a shock to find out they are men.

The other day I got into an disagreement at work about transitioning children with a very loud, vocal man. Honestly he was so convinced that children should be put on puberty blockers, and that Terfs were evil it was like Id suggested aparteid, that not transitioning a 10 yr old was the same level of evil. I would be lynched if I dared to suggest trans women werent women

I’m in this age group and I’ve got to say, I find those statistics rather depressing. I can’t help but wonder, how has this happened?

Looking back at my own education, compared to my OHs who is nearly 40, I don’t think we are encouraged to ask why and analyse issues. School, for me, was more about passing exams, be it year 2 SATS or GCSEs, rather than a rounded education of the person. Is our education system responsible for such an inadequate understanding of the very basics of human biology? The difference between the 2 sexes is understood across all species. From the beginning of our species, be it you believe it was a god or evolution, when our medical understanding was limited, we then knew the difference and understood this. Yet in 2020 we cannot comprehend it.

It's really astonishing: why don't all the young Asian or Eastern European women (the vagina-having kind) forced into prostitution and servitude just identify as men? Because surely their pimps would then release them immediately? Confused

Biology isn't everything, it is how you feel inside that counts too and if you say that all women are born with a vagina then you are being a bigot.

Yes, yes, that dreadful B-word. I think this is the word young women are terrified of; like being a bigot is the worst thing ever. We older, experienced women don't care. Call me bigot as much as you like; I'll still say that women don't have penises.

Re physical strength: my son shot up past me when he was 14 and since then he has left me far behind as far as strength is concerned, without even trying.

Now 34, he could easily pick up another man his size and sling him over his shoulder and carry him - easily. I have to struggle to carry my 3-year old granddaughter more than ten minutes.

Male superior strength is just a fact; but it doesn't mean they ARE superior, and we don't have to be coy or defensive about it. Physical strength is just one aspect of our human experience. We women have a different kind of strength, and men can't touch us in that.
My son recognises this and respects me. It's not all about brawn.

did you know Native American Indians consider trans to be a gift?
No I didn’t but if they do then that’s part of their culture- not ours

huntinthehornybacktoad · 08/05/2020 21:21

“Trained young by men, for men, who made sure to explain that women who put women first are shunned, and you don't want to be one of those do you?”

Ah, that makes sense (unfortunately)

isabellerossignol · 08/05/2020 21:27

Biology isn't everything, it is how you feel inside that counts too and if you say that all women are born with a vagina then you are being a bigot.

This is news to me, because many years ago I had an unplanned pregnancy. Are you now telling me that I could just have chosen to be a man and then that wouldn't have happened, and I could have avoided all the heartache and worry, and then all the physical pain of pregnancy by just identifying as a man?

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:31

If it’s feelings that count (not boring old biology) then the word ‘woman’ (and man for that matter) is meaningless, absolutely meaningless. So why does anyone else want it?

Pertella · 08/05/2020 21:31

isabelle that wont work as men can get pregnant too these days.

Strangely though, transwomen dont seem to be able to be pregnant, despite biology not mattering 🤷‍♀️

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:33

Men can’t get pregnant. Unless you decide that words mean nothing, in which case ‘djowfowkkss’ can get pregnant. As long as they have a womb.

Lamahaha · 08/05/2020 21:35

did you know Native American Indians consider trans to be a gift?

Stop the stereotyping, please. My grandmother was Native American. She did not consider trans a gift. She certainly did not believe that men can become women and vice-versa. She'd have laughed at the notion, being a very down-to-earth woman. I know many Native American women, living simple, nature bound lives far from "civilisation". They are ALL very down-to-earth, seeing as they are the ones who birth and rear the children, cook the food, nurse the sick and do the laundry (by hand).
These women are immensely practical and one thing you can bet: they wouldn't waste their time philosophising about gender identity.

They too would split themselves laughing at the idea of one of the men claiming to be a woman, joining in the domestic work.
Because it wouldn't happen. Neither there nor here.

Stop creating myths to show how culturally knowledgeable you are.

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:40

BIL has N American heritage. I would love to suggest that concept to him too...

Binterested · 08/05/2020 21:42

That’s not quite right. What you mean is

‘Words can’t get womb above men unless pregnant’

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:44

Dkdosks kdicici jsosksmw CS dM Laos DMs.

I think you will all agree.

Pertella · 08/05/2020 21:44

I think you missed my point, Lord...

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:45

How do men get pregnant? They don’t have the plumbing.

Pertella · 08/05/2020 21:51

Because it would be a woman identifying as a man 🤦‍♀️

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:52

Yeeeesssss. That’s obviois?

Pertella · 08/05/2020 21:58

Oh dear.

A poster argued that biology doesn't matter

Isabelle said in that case they could have identified as a man to prevent pregnancy (obviously not being serious)

My (also not being serious) response was that it didnt matter because men can get pregnant . I.e. a woman identifying as a man would be considered as an actual man by the biology doesn't matter crew ergo men can get pregnant.

DickKerrLadies · 08/05/2020 21:58

Biology isn't everything, it is how you feel inside that counts too

Not when it comes to determining sex. Biology doesn't give a shit about your feelings.

Lordfrontpaw · 08/05/2020 21:59

But it does matter. It alway has and always will matter.

Now I’ve had a bottle of wine (very nice) and even I know that...
