And they say discussion or other viewpoints are welcome on this board.

Yes, it is and they are. That is not what you do though, is it? You do not engage in discussion. You do not express a viewpoint. What you do is toss in carping comments intended to antagonise.

Let's hear your viewpoint.

The other day I pointed out the illogical nature of opposing the statement "woman: an adult human female" on the grounds it excludes transwomen; viz

"Here is the logic of your argument:

Woman = adult human female is "transphobic" because it doesn't include "transwomen".

Therefore "transwomen" are not female [so they must be male].

Including "transwomen" [who are males] as women [who are females] does not erase the sex class that is female."

There was an opportunity there for you to offer a reasoned response to that. You avoided that opportunity.

You have no interest in genuine discussion, it seems to me.

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 10/03/2020 09:05

That wasn't what I was replying to though - it was the Ellie's tweet bit.
I replied to you with the bit you've just copied and pasted again already.
Was my reply there not Borg like enough either or what?

DrySnitch · 10/03/2020 09:06

And so the goading of GC women persists, but @mnhq will do fuck all about it as per..

WotchaTalkinBoutWillis · 10/03/2020 09:08

It isn't goading to have a different viewpoint from the majority, though?
All I did was put what I thought Ellie's tweet was as other people had and you get jumped on.
(Not DARVO, happened.)

DariaWalker · 10/03/2020 09:09

I replied to you with the bit you've just copied and pasted again already.

I do not believe you did answer it. I have reviewed the thread and cannot see it. If I am wrong perhaps you could copy and paste your response here?

Ereshkigalangcleg · 10/03/2020 09:11

I really suggest it's better to ignore. Willis has never managed to come up with a coherent argument or definition across about 5 different usernames.

DrySnitch · 10/03/2020 09:12

wotcha it's not that you have a different view, its you are deliberately goady and antagonistic in expressing it.

DariaWalker · 10/03/2020 09:13

It isn't goading to have a different viewpoint from the majority, though?

It is goading, unless you explain how and why you have developed your viewpoint so that it can be more fully understood and examined, and points on the development of your thinking discussed with you.

Sheheshee · 10/03/2020 09:16

Awww look who made it into Fox Fisher’s ‘My Genderation’s’ IWD video. Bless.

Happy International Women's Day!
FloralBunting · 10/03/2020 09:19

I'm not going to issue edicts to other women, and everyone is free to respond to whatever they wish, but in the spirit of solidarity, I'd just like to underline that no one is obliged to spend their time responding to someone who has made it repeatedly, and abundantly clear that they do not wish to really engage in productive conversation and always takes the contrary position to women's rights here. Your time is as precious as anyone else's, wins, so feel completely justified in not wasting it.

I'm going to enjoy a day off watching movies and drinking tea, because it's a much better use of time. See you all later!

R0wantrees · 10/03/2020 09:21

Ive just posted Magdelen Bern's video about Alex Drummond (Stonewall's trans advisory group) self-belief that theyre, 'widening the bandwidth of what it is to be a woman' on another thread.

'What Kind Of Fools Do Transgender UK and Stonewall Take Us For?'

DrySnitch · 10/03/2020 09:25

You're right floral, and MN have just confirmed they dont have an issue with the goading and baiting either, so theres very little point in sticking around.

OnlyTheLangoftheTitBerg · 10/03/2020 09:27

Willis doesn’t like women discussing the pushback against their own rights. That much is abundantly clear across umpteen threads. Beyond that, Willis doesn’t seem to have much new to say. If/when they do, it might be worth engaging. Until then, I’ve had enough of variations of “bad wimminz making the mighty penis have a sad! No head pats for you” bollocks.

Winesalot · 10/03/2020 09:50

I, for one, am always happy to have my opinions challenged in a constructive way with a reasoned point of view. It is now how I feel able to post on these boards. There are a few people who do pop up on a good proportion of these threads that state their contrary opinion. And while that opinion is welcome, they then take a goady argumentative tone and never seem to add anything of substance beyond, 'what about' or 'you are mean'. As I am new to this cognitive dissonance of a gender ideology #nodebate non debate, I have realised, that absolutely no one that comes here to give a negative view can back it up with robustly reviewed science or reviewed statistics.

FlockofGulls · 10/03/2020 09:53

Maybe just like you say you feel here, they're fed up of being treated as lesser

One day, just one day out of 365, for women (adult human females) to be centred.

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 10/03/2020 09:57

Maybe just like you say you feel here, they're fed up of being treated as lesser

They’re not lesser, just different and that’s why they have their own day/month/support groups/rules/rights/financial grants, etc. They don’t need to be included in the ONE DAY for women. They want everything else we have, so they can back off and leave us in peace for one day.

R0wantrees · 10/03/2020 10:04

Demonstration by radicalhag of how hard-fought for women's protections in the workplace are undermined by trans rights activism & the denial of sex.

A friend (male) was peaked by BBC's IWD coverage. Apparently they kicked it off with an interview with a western man who described a trip to India and how wonderful it was to be treated as a sacred person over there. Did anyone see that?

theflushedzebra · 10/03/2020 12:23

Purported - Yes!

It was Sue Pascoe, former "successful business person and Master of the Hunt" late transitioner, married (now divorced) with kids (I wrote just this on another thread this morning!)

Sue Pascoe of the Conservative Party, MESMAC & Channel 4 'inclusion' advisor?

That's the one, Rowan.

The best thing about the DM article is the expression on the horse's face Grin

Interesting how that BBC clip made your friend see the light, Purported - I find it's often something relatively insignificant that makes the penny drop, and people think "hang on a minute" !

T0tallyFuckedUpFamily · 10/03/2020 12:48

From that DM article.

I am going through puberty again which means that I am just getting to my teenage girl years - so watch out world.'

Oh dear Gaia! Any answer I give to that will get me banned, so I’ll leave you to your own thoughts.

R0wantrees · 10/03/2020 12:50

Apparently they kicked it off with an interview with a western man who described a trip to India and how wonderful it was to be treated as a sacred person over there

Pascoe described at the Westminster 'Trans Inquiry' going to India for various plastic surgeries as the wait for NHS gender services were felt too long to wait.
There was a rather curious arrangement with the private clinic in India which Pascoe briefly promoted in the UK at a transwoman 'beauty pageant' and as part of a short lived self-described altruistic charity.
