Happy Day all you adult human females!

Men cannot be women.

Woman is not some man's feeling.

This day is for WOMEN.

im leaning towards the idea that gender just is not real so anything -gender isn’t real either

I have spoken to a couple of other women who all have moved this year to that mindset that there should be no space in transwoman as trans is not an adjective. It is a subset of men.

The more pressure is applied to women, the more distinctive that subset of men become.

It seems to me that women who have joined their voices to these male voices are those who live in a bubble seemingly untouched by domestic violence or any male to female violence (or immune to it due to horrific events of their past), or have not put a name to workplace discrimination, and believe it will never happen to them, or are part of the ‘cool’ brigade.

If you believe that there is no basis at all for maintaining separate spaces, how do you reconcile the cases that are coming to light of transgender women sex offenders that are well above the female level of sex offenders and often so much more violent?

Or, as the transgender community do, do you ignore them as there are always ‘bad people’. And continue to ignore that the % is still much higher than female offenders.

The strive for equality will be lost on you because you're a man so you already have it. As a man you don't need the rights and protections that women have fought for and which the trans movement seeks to erode.

Belated happy IWD to the wonderful women here on FWR

I spent yesterday visiting MIL who is late stage dementia. The joy on her face as she looked at pics of my granddaughter was moving. She no longer has the capacity to understand who that wee lass is but her maternal love love shines through.

Indeed! It is the absolute antithesis...and that is why there is such a passionate and rapidly developing new movement of women absolutely committed to this issue....Many of whom have not felt quite so energised politically for years ( I certainly speak for myself here).

IWD may have ended, but I'm still going to express my grateful thanks to FWR board, its articulate posters AND to Mumsnet HQ for continuing to run the board in the face of such pressure in recent years.

Given the attempts to hijack IWD yesterday, it seems only fair to continue with it today.

Just caught up with the full thread the men thinking they are better at womening and the women happy to throw away theirs and their young daughters rights aren't having the effect they think they are

My IWD celebration at work today involved watching a video in which a trans woman explained how hard it is being a woman. I may have said career limiting things.
