She says this like it's unusual. I thought it was the norm. that's the starting point, but then whether a relationship is sexual will depend on your sexuality which may be specific or not.

Re school Pride, DD was asked to join in her first week at secondary. She’s not shown any hint of interest in matters of sexuality of any description. I was furious. Fortunately she’s been inocculated against the cult by my furious ranting and eye rolling. The school is part of the City of London Corporation and we know they have been infected by some dodgy characters so I was on my guard.

I don’t want young girls who think they might be Lesbians to feel alone. On the other hand I don’t trust Pride or Stonewall or any of them and want them out of schools.

Also, however bewildering some of us might find these issues, we think posts that are only about poking fun at people's declared sexuality are a bit off. I had missed the story about Ms Cobb of the LibDems allegedly faking emails and being suspended as a result.

Thanks to those who have brought it back into the spotlight so i am now aware. I'm not sure that is what Layla Moran intended.

If someone as staid as Layla identifies as Pansexual then I can't see it being an identity that many youngsters will opt for in the future.

The Lib Dems press office reorganisation that put the inexperienced (in that area) Ms Cobb into the 'Head of' role - I wonder who instigated that?

I referred to Jo Swinson's views about Lesbians being violent and sarcastically speculated that she had got that impression from knowing Ms Moran.

Yes young people want to be special its part of growing up. I fortunately joined a slightly "out there" church. I have known others get this from racist organisations - this enlightenment came to me overhearing two National Front members on a bus once.
One of my DDs got it from Tumblr and deciding which of a myriad of "sexualities" she was. I really am not sure that TV or media are especially to be blamed, they are more followers of the "wokeness".

molly, to clarify, there's more of a focus on what you look like and label yourself as that ever before rather than your talents, skills, achievements or just being a nice friendly person.

There are people who are celebrities simply because of their 'identity.' That's where the media comes in; I include tumblr as part of the melting pot of ICT.

But if you scroll down and down, you will not see once mention of that word..

I am guessing ‘pansexual’ means you get to exclude certain groups from your sexuality without being a bigot as it is ‘love for an individual for who they are’ not because of how they identify. Whereas if you were a lesbian (or heterosexual) then love for an individual doesn’t apply to choosing relationships obviously

Hence the necessity to see into souls so that you know who the truly good are. Looks like she has got that one sorted. She will need to teach us.
