I know there is a split of opinion about spoiling ballots vs voting for the least bad option.

If you do decide to spoil your ballot it feel free to post a photo of it here (be careful not to include any information that identifies you and in particular not to include the ballot's unique identification number) in case any of our loitering journalists wish to pick up the story or in the hope of giving the parties/candidates some pause for thought.

In case it is of interest (and you want a place to post your views for/against spoiling ballots), there have been a number of threads about spoiling ballots, a few links below:

Integrity means nothing too.

so get on your knees and suck dicks for socialism girls!

someone got out of bed on the wrong side this morning, didn't they?

BackOnceAgainWithABurnerEmail · 13/12/2019 10:44

If people don't want to vote, fine, if they want to spoil their paper, fine, but don't do it kidding yourself it is some big protest and people who matter are sitting pouring over the papers and reading them they are not.

At the vote count the spoiled ballots are ratified by multiple people inc candidates to ensure they are spoiled. If you spoiled chances are you candidates did read it.

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 13/12/2019 10:44

It's a hard lesson when people outside your bubble turn out not to agree with you.

Politicians would be well advised to get off social media, especially bloody Twitter, and start living in the real world.

PJsatMidday · 13/12/2019 10:46

Integrity Means Nothing should be Momentum's new. slogan

tellmewhenthespaceshiplandscoz · 13/12/2019 10:46

Oh, i mean anyone that matters that would do anything about it.
Integrity means nothing too. Sorry!

I matter.
Don't apologise - it's you I feel sorry for, if you think integrity means nothing.

PJsatMidday · 13/12/2019 10:48

Oh, and by the way, I bet Swinson et al who lost their seats by small margins were interested in the spoil4ed ballots.

TiredofthisBS · 13/12/2019 10:48

That and Disappointing Women, PJ.

Horehound · 13/12/2019 10:49

Yes I am in a huff!
Well, I voted SNP so hopefully we will become disjointed from this shit show soon.

Apologies I'm just in a bad mood and I'm very tired with a 16 week old.

GCAcademic · 13/12/2019 10:50

Get it into your head that people didn't spoil the vote for attention. I don't need to should LOOK AT ME, I made a personal choice that was right for me.

To be fair, I think a lot of these people genuinely can’t comprehend that it’s possible to have a sense of self that isn’t entirely invested in your Twitter account and constant external validation.

Horehound · 13/12/2019 10:53

Oh I don't have twitter!

PJsatMidday · 13/12/2019 10:54

Absolutely, GC . They forgot about all those quiet, middle aged women who work tirelessly in the background, and not for the likes but because they have integrity in spades

HandsOffMyRights · 13/12/2019 10:55

Well thank you for sharing your voting choice. This thread is about spoiling ballots.

We're all the richer for your valuable insights though, I'm sure.

Go well.

BernardBlacksWineIceLolly · 13/12/2019 10:55

I don't think this feels like a great day for many of us Horehound

it's shitty compromises all round

Horehound · 13/12/2019 10:56

HmmHmm

Horehound · 13/12/2019 10:56

Yes it is shitty compromises. Humph

PJsatMidday · 13/12/2019 10:59

I'm thinking of starting a tshirt business, Tired . All proceeds to women fighting their erasure.

VMisaMarshmallow · 13/12/2019 11:02

Integrity matters to those who have it.

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 13/12/2019 11:14

Nice work marshmallow

VMisaMarshmallow · 13/12/2019 11:14

Hore - so what? Stop trying to appeal to female socialisation to be nice to those who belittle us about using our voice our way. It’s a feminism board not a hold hands round the camp fire at summer camp board. I have 2 daughters with acs, pda and adhd, I haven’t slept in over 10 yrs as one has never slept through the night ever and the other goes to sleep easily but wakes at 2am for the day as standard. That’s ontop of my adhd, my physical disabilities and cfs and chronic pain, and ptsd nightmares to contend with. Disability cuts effect us dramatically, but I can always fight for my daughters and advocate for them, unless women are silenced by being erased as a catagory. So imagine having a 16 week old sleep pattern for the next decade and then think if I should care that you and others called us stupid, disappiointing, cowardly and lacking in integrity. If you are genuine I think you are well aware how you are trying to gas light us. You should go evaluate your motivation behind why you need to belittling women for not doing what you think they should.

VMisaMarshmallow · 13/12/2019 11:15

She ?? not sure I get what you are meaning?

ShesDressedInBlackAgain · 13/12/2019 11:20

I liked your aphorism!

'Twas pithy and true Grin

VMisaMarshmallow · 13/12/2019 11:22

Ah got you. I’m tired and following whose insulting us and whose not isn’t easy when sleep deprived.

(Shhhh, had to google aphorism though.... but laconic is my favourite personality trait in anyone, so ty!)

Justhadathought · 13/12/2019 11:27

We're going to get a lot of your should be ashamed of yourself' comments today. They tried it yesterday because some of us dared to spoil our votes. Today we'll, no doubt, be blamed for Labours defeat

Let's face it. most of us are probably those metropolitan types that would normally have voted Labour. Labour by and large still won in these sorts of places. Labour lost its traditional post industrial, deprived and neglected towns, mainly in the N.East/the north generally - but also wiped out in Scotland and depleted in Wales.

These communities have no time or inclibation for trendy identity politics.
