Hello FWRs

Has anyone signed up to spinster.xyz yet? It’s like twitter but without the misogyny. No banning for stating biological truths. See you over there hopefully

I joined. But blokes are already joining sadly. They can't take a hint that we need some space

TinDogTavern · 12/08/2019 16:22

I've joined. We'll see how it pans out I guess. I'm @katharine there.

hungryhippie · 12/08/2019 16:23

I joined. I'm hoping we eventually get subsections as it will just get confusing.

Beebeequeue · 12/08/2019 16:25

Are they joining maliciously? Angry
It would be impossible to run a female only platform though wouldn’t it? At least they will be banned if posts are not female centric? And I guess we could block individuals. I like that we can state facts without getting no platformed. ps I’m a huge fan of yours Flowers

Yes, I've joined.

Juells · 12/08/2019 16:41

There will be more men trolling, pretending to be women posters, than there are women. Women can't be allowed to talk without oversight by the overlords.

Coyoacan · 12/08/2019 16:46

One man is already complaining that he has been banned for putting pronouns in his profile.

OvaHere · 12/08/2019 16:59

On the plus side it's feminist controlled but it will be cat nip for fake female accounts, lurking, attempts to dox and DDOS attacks. Much like FWR.

I might join up at some point. I'm not one of life's early adopters - I only recently joined twitter. Grin

GinSpinster · 12/08/2019 17:02

Ah, but we can call a spade a spade on spinster, unlike here! @MNHQ might want to take note, they might lose their bread and butter (posters) to spinster with their awful rules on the trans issue.

Cocolapew · 12/08/2019 17:05

Yes I've joined, but it took me ages to figure out Twitter so I'm not sure how I'll get on Blush

Ereshkigal · 12/08/2019 17:13

One man is already complaining that he has been banned for putting pronouns in his profile.

Grin oh dear, that's quite amusing

littlbrowndog · 12/08/2019 17:24

Pronouns ffs. Pronouns. Anyway I haven’t joined yet but seen it about on twitter

RhymesWithOrange · 12/08/2019 17:28

I'm there!

Sexnotgender · 12/08/2019 17:34

Just joining now

ArnoldWhatshisknickers · 12/08/2019 17:34

Does it resemble Twitter then?* I've never been on Twitter, I hate the format. On the other hand a site that bans idiots and their idiot pronouns does have a certain appeal............

*I'd check it out but am at work just now

RhymesWithOrange · 12/08/2019 17:34

I don't think it's practicable to ban men on an anonymous platform but you can choose to ignore the male voices.

chilling19 · 12/08/2019 17:35

Just joined 😁

Juells · 12/08/2019 18:04

I'm a bear of very little brain, as I can't figure out how to use it Grin

I've signed in, and now can't see how to find anything.

Juells · 12/08/2019 18:10

I think the interface needs to be a bit more user-friendly for it to take off. :( If you sign in and can't find threads or conversations it's not great.

2Rebecca · 12/08/2019 18:26

I presume there are no threads and it's like twitter. If there are threads I havent found them

AncientLights · 12/08/2019 18:27

I've just signed up. A man banned for posting his pronouns? Grin

JoxerGoesToStuttgart · 12/08/2019 18:31

I’ve joined. But am watching what happens before deciding if i’ll Stay. As others have said I expect lots of trolls.

Lawlsie1976 · 12/08/2019 18:32

Just joined. I'm @MissLawls

ErrolTheDragon · 12/08/2019 18:32

I've never been tempted by twitter so I'm not sure I'll bother. Curious about the choice of name, doesn't sound very appealing ... maybe that's intentional.

RhymesWithOrange · 12/08/2019 18:47

Spinsters were cool. Women who could earn an independent living so didn't have to marry for financial security. We need to reclaim the word!
