Did anyone see it?
She was there to discuss the LGBT sandwich in M&S, however she began speaking about the erasure of lesbians at pride and ended by shouting out to viewers to google the cotton ceiling.
Worth a watch
Well done Sonia

de facto public square of Twitter

😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Ereshkigal · 07/05/2019 08:22

That letter! ShockGrin

InfiniteSheldon · 07/05/2019 08:26

I have to take issue with those saying the sandwich excludes vegetarians and vegans, no-one has asked the bacon how it identifies. If the bacon identifies as Quorn then vegetarians are behaving appallingly by excluding it from their meal deal.

donquixotedelamancha · 07/05/2019 08:38

no-one has asked the bacon how it identifies.

Tomatoes identify as vegetables. Any attempt by Scientists to insist that they are fruit is colonialist reductionism.

Antibles · 07/05/2019 08:44

I enjoyed that clip. Go Sonia!

Does Harrop mean 'wrest' control?

A sexuality sandwich: they are literally shoving trans down our throats now. It'll be a BDSM one next.

R0wantrees · 07/05/2019 08:48

It'll be a BDSM one next.

More bacon!

Datun · 07/05/2019 09:17

Funny how they can never quite say what was actually incorrect though, isnt it...

Indeed.

IrishGal21 · 07/05/2019 09:59

I think it is good to share stories of incidences where transgender people are sharing toilets/ bathrooms/ changing rooms in real life to see just how common and widespread it is...a friend who works for a mental health charity said that they were a bit taken back to find a transgender person in their female toilets one day as they had not been informed about her situation so she did not expect it. No one had told her..maybe they aren't obliged to, but I would think people would say something just to make people aware not to be gossipy or malicious...anyway, it was a bit of a shock after flushing the loo and coming out to find a 'MTF' standing there.

IrishGal21 · 07/05/2019 10:27

Sonia is the real one with balls, she even doorstepped Kate McCann and tried to get her to answer 'those questions' - she didn't.
Would love to see her in a 1-1 with Haddock

LangCleg · 07/05/2019 10:30

Unless....... Datun, are you Sonia Poulton :-)

No! I'm Sonia Poulton!

(Am I skirting the No Spartacus rule? I sure do hope so.)

IrishGal21 · 07/05/2019 10:43

Google analytics say.......

trends.google.com/trends/explore?date=now%207-d&geo=GB&q=the%20cotton%20ceiling

I assume the interview was around 10am? Get the W(ord) out...and she did :)

BernardBlacksWineIcelolly · 07/05/2019 10:49

Fucking hell, that spike is dramatic

I mean the cotton ceiling is totally fine, right?

So no problem at all with thousands of This Morning viewers reading all about it....right?

The top replies I get on google are all written by trans people so it’s just amplifying their voices

ThePurportedDoctoress · 07/05/2019 10:50

Sonia, you were brilliant. I want that on a t shirt:
Cotton ceiling - Google it

howlsmovingcastle84 · 07/05/2019 10:53

Cotton ceiling was the first thing to come up when I typed cott

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/05/2019 10:54

(Am I skirting the No Spartacus rule? I sure do hope so.)

What?

Is that actually a thing?

LangCleg · 07/05/2019 10:59

Is that actually a thing?

Yes.

ErrolTheDragon · 07/05/2019 11:02

There is no mention of a 'no Spartacus' rule in either the general or specific talk guidelines. I don't see how there could be - it's a well-known cultural phrase akin to 'I didn't expect the Spanish Inquisition' or 'don't mention the war'. Confused

Using it in a way deemed to be inflammatory would break guidelines, I suppose.

Datun · 07/05/2019 11:03

Crikey.

I agree. And I just want to point out that I am Sonia Poulton. And so is my wife.

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/05/2019 11:07

How is saying i am Spartacus inflammatory

Unless your name actually is Spartacus...i can see how that would piss someone off

I am actually Lang

Fact

Redshoeblueshoe · 07/05/2019 11:18

Oh good can I be Datun ?
That's a big spike. I hope Eamonn googled it

Rufusthebewilderedreindeer · 07/05/2019 11:20
