No links. No judgement of any one perticular person.

Just a discussion about the GENERAL situation as my original post was removed for not being in the spirit

Yet another lesbian deletion.

Am really getting fucking sick if this.

Am actually prepared to be banned for this.

MNHQ decided to delete the last thread.

Is there not anywhere left that lesbians are allowed to say we are women attracted to women???

I'll leave this here.

In general, and also very specifically, I completely agree: there are so many bona fide lesbians out there who deserve visibility, rather than the gender fluid person grabbing the limelight.

MIdgebabe · 26/04/2019 20:48

But, can’t a lesbian actually be gendr fliud or none binary, Agender etc? SURely you are mixing gender and sex?

Itwouldtakemuchmorethanthis · 26/04/2019 20:49

If the gender fluid persons sex is female and they are exclusively attracted to other women (females) aka are a lesbian then they can crack on.....otherwise it’s a shitshow.

SDTGisAnEvilWolefGenius · 26/04/2019 20:51

I find the notion that a person with a penis can describe themselves as a lesbian, and can believe that any biologically female lesbian who won’t accept their lady penis in her vagina, is bigoted, to be utterly vile and I cannot understand why any organisation based in supporting lesbians would side with the penis-owner ‘lesbians’ over biologically female ones.

It is male privilege in action. I am not a lesbian, but I am 100% behind the non-penis lesbians in their fight not to be erased or ‘educated’ out of their ‘genital preferences’.

newtlover · 26/04/2019 20:51

absolutely
a lesbian is a WOMAN attracted to other WOMEN
no more and no less
christ it's not rocket science is it?

Aye. Sure she can. However when you use someone of ambiguous sex/ gender as your poster girl then THAT is your story. Not "I am a woman who fancies women" but "I am an indefinable sexless person who chooses to call she/theyself lesbian" thus rather diluting the point of a LESBIAN visibility day. We've done the trans day of visibility so why do we have another amorphous being popping up? What is wrong with having a vulva and fancying other people with vulvas?

Cwenthryth · 26/04/2019 20:54

I don’t know what “gender fluid person” means in this context and didn’t see your other thread.

I’d expect someone promoting lesbian visibility day to be a lesbian. I believe that is a woman (XX, female bodied person, aka the cunty kind) who loves other women (ditto) and does not love men (XY, male bodied be-penised people). I have no cares for what their gender is, I believe ‘lesbian’ is defined by someone’s sex and sexuality, not their gender (if indeed they even have one).

glenthebattleostrich · 26/04/2019 20:54

I'll join your willingness to be banned with this statement.

If you have a penis and want to use it to have sex with women you are not a lesbian. You are hetrosexual.

If you have a vagina and have sex with women you are a lesbian.

ChrisPrattAteMyHomework · 26/04/2019 20:55

To be fair the person they used was clearly born MALE. And used 'they' pronouns.

That is not a lesbian

I've actually CRIED today as a woman who has had many LESBIAN relationships I've felt completely erased and uncomfortable today.

Including being silenced by MNHQ and the LGBT Foundation for saying so.

I feel that the person representing lesbian visibility day should be a biological woman who is sexually attracted to other biological women. Anything else would imo be a farce.

Michelleoftheresistance · 26/04/2019 20:59

How do I feel?

The victim of a homophobic plot to redefine women into subordinate, powerless status, committed by men for men.

And less safe to be 'out' than I did 30 years ago when instead of fearing 'literal violence' I actually had less civil rights than a straight person and couldn't be open at work about who I went home to and spent my out of work life with.

And completely distanced from 'LGBT' as a phrase, which is very much all about the Political T. When The Mordaunt witters about the 'LGBT Community' she doesn't include me.

StopThePlanet · 26/04/2019 21:00

If you have a vagina and have sex [exclusively] with women you are a lesbian.

Fixed that for ya Wink

Barracker · 26/04/2019 21:00

The struggles of trans women who love women should also be acknowledged today. Trans women face daily abuse in the press and specific challenges that other LB women may not experience. Their right to use a dressing room or toilet is being debated online and via news outlets and as fellow women within the LGBTQ+ community we must do our best to support them and use our privilege to speak up for them when it is safe to do so.

This is an extract from the LGBT foundation article today for lesbian day of visibility.
Don't forget the peenz today, lesbians

Michelleoftheresistance · 26/04/2019 21:01

I mean let's face it. With the full support of the 'Women and Equalities' shitshow in government, there is no longer a word for a woman who excludes males from her sexual orientation other than a term of abuse.

It's medieval.

StopThePlanet · 26/04/2019 21:03

Don't forget the peenz today, lesbians

OMG, made me laugh so hard I snorted!

littlbrowndog · 26/04/2019 21:03

Sorry for you chris. It’s pure out attack on lesbians. Fuck em

Wankas. The whole lot of this wankery wokie

Ereshkigal · 26/04/2019 21:04

If you claim not to have a biological sex or that biological sex isn't really a thing (as many non binary/genderfluid types do because that is a large part of their ideology) you cannot by your own definition be a lesbian.

I quite agree that a non binary woman can be a lesbian, but she probably wouldn't see that she is a woman. However if she doesn't "identify" as a woman how can she claim the label. Lesbian doesn't mean "person of either sex attracted to women". It means a woman attracted only to women. And why would you claim it, unless it's to empty the word lesbian of all meaning to suit your agenda... which is likely.

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 26/04/2019 21:04

As the daughter of a lesbian, I think it's dreadful that a biological male is used to represent my mum today.

littlbrowndog · 26/04/2019 21:05

Oh ffs the transwomen who love women. FFS are they on meth ?

Nottheduchess · 26/04/2019 21:05

A lesbian is a woman who is attracted to other women, so surely someone who is gender fluid can’t be a lesbian as they are not a woman? So they’ll need to find a word that describes a person that is gender fluid that is attracted to women to differentiate between that of a gender fluid person that is attracted to men (which they’ll also need a name for) and a gender fluid person that is attracted to gender fluid persons (which they will also need a name for).

HermioneWeasley · 26/04/2019 21:05

I feel they can fuck off with their gaslighting gay conversion therapy
