I've received a twelve-hour ban from Twitter so I thought I'd take the chance to say hello lovely mumsnetters! Thank you for all the support and kind words and very proud to be on your side.

I'm not deleting the tweets because I stand by them and there's nothing offensive about them. See for thyself, fellow witches!

I was late to the party, but The Guardian's reporting of Marie Dean started me off on a whole spring, summer and autumn of regular peaking.
This New Statesman piece on how a male sex offender became a poor, oppressed victim is excellent.

Sorry to harp on about fear of job losses but I should have added to my list (which dwells on the public sector because that is my patch) that a lot of women who run their own businesses can’t openly say what they think about these issues either. They are terrified of being targeted on social media as losing customers and contracts- as we all are.

And there is also huge sex and class power disparity exploitation going on- as your rightly point out Glinner - Young White middle class Male-bodied TRAs insisting that women security staff pat them down (you can guess who that one was),
And that Canadian case of a male-bodied TRA harassing female beauticians working in female salons to get them to wax her cock and balls. Thread on here about that.

Please do keep pointing it out by whatever platform will let you on, because then hopefully people will start joining the dots about what is really happening here.

R0wantrees · 17/11/2018 12:02

apologies for rubbish timing of my very blue post Sandy!

BettyDuMonde · 17/11/2018 12:04

Sandy, that is marvellous.

I’ve always said that you don’t need a fancy education to challenge TRA ideology- you just need to ask yourself ‘What would me Nan say?’

Which is why ‘everyone knows what a woman is, we all came out of one’ is so powerful - it’s a perfect Nannaism!

YetAnotherSpartacus · 17/11/2018 12:10

I actually thought that the poem was very sad. :( Good, but sad.

FatherBuzzCagney · 17/11/2018 12:13

Is anyone else picturing Vole's grandad as John Shuttleworth?

LangCleg · 17/11/2018 12:14

Poor Vole. So oppressed by her grandma.

Funny and heartbreaking in equal measure. As comedy should be.

Has Vole's Nan told xir to get a job yet?

SandyDrawsBadly · 17/11/2018 12:36

Vole is currently too busy petitioning her mum to no-platform grandma at Xmas dinner, ever since she cracked a joke that Vole would have to eat the sprouts now as they identified as cabbages.

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 17/11/2018 12:38

Hi @Glinner sorry to hear about your ban.,I follow and regularly report the personal nasty comments to you as targeted abuse.

Just yesterday I reported three actually. I'm like the Silent Assassin. 😂

Build up for me was years ago - Natasha Thoday incident in Brighton. Pure manipulation of their position as a temporary teacher speaking about being trans to primary school children.

The outrage at the character Buffalo Bill in Silence of the Lambs as being transphobic - even when he was clearly described as not.

Next was the "Pussy" hats in the US and the complaints about it being exclusionary. For gods sake it was about specific genitalia assaults.

Next came the cotton ceiling discussions.

Then along cake Lily Maddagain who would insist on being searched by a female to enter a club.

Caitlin Jenner keeping Male privilege as Woman of the Year. And the creepy story of trying on stepchildren female clothes.

Steph-on-knee. Say no more.

Pips Bunce taking a woman's award. When they only identify a few days a week.

Add to that sporting events with transwomen competing against girls.

The sheer arrogance masculine aggression and narcissism of Charlotte Clymer, Rachel McKinnon, Jess Bradley, Shon Faye etc etc

And finally the current bullying and aggression towards the lovely Debbie Hayton and Fionne Orlander. And the shut down of Miranda Yardley.

The hatred those two are currently undergoing on Twitter is pretty awful and upsetting. Last I read there were a bunch of TRAs trying to slander Fionne as a Camsex person.

The irony being when you look on the attackers media there's almost always some kind of fetish/kink stuff related to being a "trans girl "

Oh and that on every bloody twitter profile ....just a brave trans girl finding her way in a scary world. You can crowdfund me here.....

No you're a bloody 50 year old wanting to be sexualised you chugging AGP. Ffs.

Sorry, but once you squeeze the zit....it doesn't stop.

TetherEnding · 17/11/2018 12:39

Outstanding work Sandy Wine

silentcrow · 17/11/2018 12:44

‘What would me Nan say?’

At 94, something very not-woke Grin

Thus always makes me think of that fashion feature in a women's magazine way back - can't remember which. They used to put photos of that season's ridiculous high fashion on the catwalk and simply ask "Would they wear it in Wigan?". Now there's probably classist and anti-Northern undertones to that, but I always read it as Wigan being a bastion of common sense Grin

FermatsTheorem · 17/11/2018 12:44

ever since she cracked a joke that Vole would have to eat the sprouts now as they identified as cabbages.

I want to be vole's nan when I grow up.

BettyDuMonde · 17/11/2018 12:53

Last I read there were a bunch of TRAs trying to slander Fionne as a Camsex person

Jesus, they call us ‘SWERFs’ for being pro Nordic model/anti porn yet they try and single out and victimise someone for being involved in virtual ‘sex work’?

That’s off the scale hypocritical, regardless of whether Fionne has or hasn’t participated in camsex (which is none of my business, for the record).

MickHucknallspinkpancakes · 17/11/2018 13:08

@BettyDuMonde the hypocrisy level is totally off the scale.

Like the "it'll never happen-o-meter" with Karen White. They are very selective in what they choose to read and comment on.

Dr Haddock posting that basically no man would go to the bother of pretending to be a woman to enter a woman's space for sexual fetish.

Then no comment on a reply about a man who pretended to be special needs for over 10 years so female carers would come and change his adult diapers (sexual fetish reasons).

Or the guy who pretended he was a doctor to assault women.

Popping on a dress though, to jerk off in a cubicle in the ladies (I remember the reddit post on exactly that, copied onto mumsnet once - the guy would leave his fluids on the toilet rolls for innocent women to wipe themselves) - never would happen and it's disgusting and offensive to even think it. They just want to pee in peace.

My eyes roll so far back in my head some days I need an ice cream scoop to get them back out.
