Twitter is rapidly kicking out GC women while allowing stuff like blokes flashing their penises, threats against women, horrible violent stuff, sexism. It doesn’t feel great to be a woman on twitter. I use it but keep away from posting gender stuff on there, other than following some amazing women.

Maybe it was the shocking/horrifying/nightmare inducing/traumatic bright pink willy what done it?

I do want the end of Twitter to be imminent. None of these social media sites last forever. I'm just hanging in until it disintegrates.

Twitter is pretty awful. I only use it for work, and find that if I leave the path and stray into the wild west it's pretty horrific.

Buy a cheap Nokia on a payg. I have one as a spare, lend to children for camping trips etc when it's best not to take an expensive phone. I use that number for anything I sign up to that I don't want to give my number to. It's amazing - I switch it on about once a month and find all these missed calls.
So spare number for resigning to twitter. And if need be you could swap the sim for another new account.

Hope you get back on there soon, I have to be careful in following and replying to other TS and women who disagree with the TRA's. My employer would bin me in a heartbeat if they identified who I was, Wouldn't be hard to out me as I follow ships and colleagues on there when away from UK

I logged in recently to find I was down 30, when it was rising steadily and then static due to me being shadowbanned. So I put that down to the GC bans.

I've only been on there for a few weeks, but need a break already for my own sanity.

Twitter is based in California so the anti GC feminist policies are crafted there by pro TRA staff. Twitter has always been a hive of misogny, both the company and its platform - as all the big tech organisations. Twitter is worse though than many - it has a frat boy, hacker mentality that they seem in no way seriously interested in changing - despite the rhetoric.

All the tech organisations mirror the big patriarchical power structures- not interested in customers and unresponsive to them, driven by profit and personal interest only, don't see women as an important customer base.

I hate the hassle these platforms put women through - I guess we have to play the TRA at their own game - report them for hate crimes against women

Twitter (& other social media platofrms) have been 'weaponised' by some, with the intention of 'no debate' and silencing dissenting voices.
