Apologies for spoiling your Sunday, but i thought I'd best let you all know, according to some on an external site... Everyone here is part of a hate group..
I had no idea tbh.

Yeah I saw that too.

It's bananas. These people need to get outside once in a while.

ShotsFired · 19/08/2018 10:30

That is some tantrum they're having.

Have they gone off to eat worms now too?

Wanderabout · 19/08/2018 10:30

How ridiculous.

Which site is this?

It's great. The more people see nonsense like this, the more come and find out for themselves and the more publicity it all gets.

What they fail to understand is the concept of an 'own goal'.

Wanderabout · 19/08/2018 10:35

Thanks Klutzy.

Quite astonishing a lawyer would tweet such a thing.

glenthebattleostrich · 19/08/2018 10:36

How lovely, can we have a nice t-shirt or something?

TerfsUp · 19/08/2018 10:38

Waves to Stephanie Hayden

Thanks for helping us to transpeak people, Stephanie! Keep up the good work.

Popchyk · 19/08/2018 10:40

Yeah, I'd like them to carry on with their nonsense.

We get more people finding out the truth every single day.

ToeToToe · 19/08/2018 10:41

This could well come under 'The Steisand effect' - the more they try to shut us down, the more they publicise us.

Protecting women is not hate.

Trying to protect the definition of woman, and the language we use to describe and define ourselves, is not hate.

TheChampagneGalop · 19/08/2018 10:41

I'm sure the posters at the Allergies, Post-natal health, Style and beauty etc boards will be especially surprised to hear this

ZuttZeVootEeVro · 19/08/2018 10:42

In some people's world women talking to each other about women and not centering men is hate.

It's sad that people think that not centering men's feelings is worthy of comment, let alone having to label it as hate.

KlutzyDraconequus · 19/08/2018 10:43

I don't get it as I've found MN to be one of the most inclusive sites.
Just because posters here don't kowtow to the eradication of women's rights doesn't mean they're anti other people's rights..

I'm too dumb to understand it all tho I think. :( Go back to reading the Beano.. or Dandy..

Aren’t hate groups supposed to be reported to the police?

Come on, Steph, get cracking to the police. Or at least log us on 101 Grin

TransplantsArePlants · 19/08/2018 10:45

Hello Stephanie

ButchyRestingFace · 19/08/2018 10:46

From looking at Stephanie's picture, I would guess that they may have more than a slightly vested interest in the debate...

And they claim to be pro BREXIT too. Smile

LangCleg · 19/08/2018 10:49

I identify as a person with a sunny disposition. It is literal violence to invalidate and erase me in this way.

hackmum · 19/08/2018 10:51

Pah. Hate group is nothing. Who was it who called us a nest of vipers? I’d have that on a t-shirt.

BiologyIsReal · 19/08/2018 10:51

Awesome Steph: keep it up. You are saving us an awful lot of work.

In a previous life as a communications person these TRAs are doing the very thing I would have urged them not to do if they wanted support. But hey, nothing like digging your own hole to bury yourself in is there?

Ihatemycar · 19/08/2018 10:55

Sometimes people can be aggressive and mean here.
Things go badly very quickly specially if you don't agree.
Some topic like Brexit guarantees abuse if your views are opposite.

ErrolTheDragon · 19/08/2018 10:56

If anyone out there sees what they deem to be a transphobic post left standing, report it and see how MNHQ responds. Posts which break the guidelines should be deleted if they're reported.

Knicknackpaddyflak · 19/08/2018 10:57

To be fair, MN can get pretty harsh about toilet brushes.

MNetters tend to call out, in very blunt terms, anyone behaving like a selfish, immature, antisocial arse. They ask for evidence to back up claims, they expect posters to look at their own motives and actions as well as criticise others, and they have high expectations of women. Since many have experience of all kinds of hardship, from women who have lived through abuse and refuges, to women struggling in severe poverty, race, culture, disability, you name it - you find tough, self motivated women around here - they generally don't have much patience for sexism, self pity and victimhood and few threads ever indulge it.

That's the culture of the site. Wonder why TRAs - as MRAs seem to - find that so very uncomfortable and threatening?

GladAllOver · 19/08/2018 11:04

That's right Stephanie. Protecting women in women's spaces is a hate crime!

NothingOnTellyAgain · 19/08/2018 11:04

Lots of people (generally penis people) have always hated MN. Anywhere that women are able to get togetherand talk without male oversight is a danger to a certain type of man.
The relationship boards in particular because they give women in abusive relationships a clear eyed view of what is going on, and give advise around leaving.

MN have been subject to multiple invasions by male groups.
Also shut down a couple of times via DDOS.
Has also been hacked.
And don't forget that someone got a SWAT team sent to one of the founders houses (where her kids were) in the middle of the night.

This was before all this trans stuff.

Lots of men have always hated MN and would do anything to get it closed down,
irrespective that it's a source of invaluable support for women around pregancy, childbirth, miscarriage, children with special needs, mental health issues and physical issues often birth related, or simply woman-specific, and of course relationships advice, then onto menopause (still generally tabboo in society) and so on.

Women talking together gives us information and therefore power. Lots of men prefer us isolated.

So now it's a "hate group". Not surprised. All this talk of female biology for a start needs shutting down.

VickyEadie · 19/08/2018 11:07

That re-definition of "hate" is no surprise though, is it?
