Apologies for spoiling your Sunday, but i thought I'd best let you all know, according to some on an external site... Everyone here is part of a hate group..
I had no idea tbh.

Ok so the logic is strong with this one

I've been on MN for a long, long time, several mane changes over the year, and whilst it is still an amazing source of advice, info and moral support, I am increasingly saddened by the unpleasantness on here.

arranfan · 19/08/2018 21:15

OT - I am grateful to Stephanie H for sending me on a Twitter clickthrough that lead to this joy of an acroyoga display (amongst other canine-human agilities).

However, it also reminded me to take another look at Debbie Hayton who is being lectured/mithered by someone who thinks Debbie is the one who needs to do the listening and thinking... Debbie H has a particularly interesting tweet from Aug 17 which is part of a conversation about how some "transactivists Other the intersex community".

SimonBridges · 19/08/2018 21:16

What unpleasantness though?

There is nothing unpleasant about saying that a person with a penis is a man.
There is nothing unpleasant about saying that we want to know that women and girls can be sure that there are no people with penises in women’s only spaces.
There is nothing unpleasant about pointing out that some women who have suffered violence at the hand of men could be extremely traumatised by having to share a space with a male bodied person.

What is unpleasant are the threats of violence from TRAs.

FlatPackFurnitureCompAnyone · 19/08/2018 21:20

There is nothing unpleasant about pointing out that some women who have suffered violence at the hand of men could be extremely traumatised by having to share a space with a male bodied person.

Apparently there is, though. I mean what about that male-bodied person’s feelings?

arranfan · 19/08/2018 21:24

2nd rule of misogyny: Women saying no to men is a hate crime.

3rd rule of misogyny: Women speaking for themselves are exclusionary and selfish.

4th rule of misogyny: Women's opinions are violence against men thus male violence against women is justified.

5th rule of misogyny: WATM! [What about the Men] Women and Feminism must be useful to men or they are worthless.

8th rule of misogyny: Men are whatever men say they are and women are whatever men say they are.

9th rule of misogyny: Men always know the "real reasons" for everything women do and say.

10th rule of misogyny: The worst thing about male violence is that it males men look bad.

I'd perm the above from the Rules of Misogyny but am open to others being included as perspectives on the unpleasantness.

" Mumsnet CEO Justine Roberts squeals.."

she said it in a normal voice, I am quite sure. Why this choice of verb? is it because you hate women?

BarrackerBarmer · 19/08/2018 21:29

RockingMyFiftiesNot
I know what you mean. Women here are constantly being threatened for defending their own rights and stating biological fact.
Trolls frequently invade here to tell us to stop talking, especially about our female bodies and female rights because it hurts their male feelings.
Women here are being told, daily, that we are unpleasant and hateful for not being sufficiently submissive and obedient because we won't lie on behalf of men.

It's really unpleasant, I agree. It saddens me too. Chin up though, facts are not hate, and since literally nobody really believes a person can change sex, the more people feel brave enough to be truthful, the more others feel free to stop lying and pretending, and colluding with the insidious 'you're so mean [sadface]' type bullying we get on a daily basis.

EmpressOfSpartacus · 19/08/2018 21:38

Chin up though

Yes. Plus I've met some bloody amazing women through the FWR boards & the message is spreading further every day. We'll get there.

ToeToToe · 19/08/2018 21:46

That yoga-ing dog is quite remarkable, isn't it?

I have to remove my dog from the room when I do yoga - or he jumps all over me and chews my yoga mat Hmm

ElenOfTheWays · 19/08/2018 21:55

I've always been a bit baffled by this. How can one "hate" a group or individual one doesn't know personally? I've never hated anyone I didn't know and have good reason to. So, two people in my entire life. Isn't hatred a very personal emotion? It is to me anyway.

One can be prejudiced against, or aggressive toward groups or individuals. And I suppose, this can be directed BY either groups or individuals. But actual HATE?
Ridiculous!

dontbringmedown · 19/08/2018 21:57

Lots of people (generally penis people) have always hated MN. Anywhere that women are able to get together rand talk without male oversight is a danger to a certain type of man.

So, so true.

By the way, love the term Penis People Grin

Alicethroughtheblackmirror · 19/08/2018 22:03

Penis people is good. I called them penis holders on another thread but someone pointed out it sounded like toothbrush holders and triggered memories of a certain bedside beaker thread...

auntethel · 19/08/2018 22:07

I watched a Magdalen Burns (is that the correct surname?)video today. She often gets singled out for speaking the truth, but still continues. Thank-you Magdalen if you're watching

FloralBunting · 19/08/2018 22:16

'defiantly refuse to act'

Women being defiant is just, so, so unacceptable.

"Why won't you do what we tell you? Do we have to threaten you more?!"

Yep. MN is clearly the hate group here.Hmm

auntethel · 19/08/2018 22:25

In the MB video I watched today, a transwoman was holding up a chemists bag. They (notice I used the "correct" pronoun there, even though it's changing a singular to plural - bloody ridiculous!!) THEY said it was their first pack of tampons and they were so excited and couldn't wait to feel it insideHmm Have NEVER heard a biological woman be excited about their period or looking forward to using a tampon?
And as one commenter kindly pointed out, if you can feel it you're not using it properly mate!! Really they have no ideaAngry stop bloody insulting us!

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 19/08/2018 22:28

yes well if they were a woman, they would know that you cant feel a tampon inside you.
it's almost some kind of weird sexual fetish thing going on..

IncrediblySturdyPyjamas · 19/08/2018 22:29

Ok so the logic is strong with this one

They havent quite worked out that if you have to tell people you are an adult, human, female...you probably aren't.

NotTerfNorCis · 19/08/2018 22:30

THEY said it was their first pack of tampons and they were so excited and couldn't wait to feel it inside

Um what did they need it for? Was their neo-vagina infected?

Charliethefeminist · 19/08/2018 23:31

Rowan: that was the worst transohobia they could find on Mumsnet?

On reading, I felt pleased that our incredibly reasonable thoughts had reached the MPs by this unexpected route, as they won't listen to us. Surely any MP will read those and think 'huh. Seems sensible to me'.

Magpiesarehuge · 20/08/2018 08:18

A lot male folk really hate mumsnet - a facist, far right hate site.

MN is a 'Hate group' apparently.
MN is a 'Hate group' apparently.
MN is a 'Hate group' apparently.
TimeLady · 20/08/2018 08:38

Ha ha. If you lot are far-right fascists, I don't know what that makes me as a card-carrying Tory. Grin

Datun · 20/08/2018 09:04

Petty, stupid, pointless, terrible, far right, fascist. UKIP supporting, unsafe and crazy.

Yet, pram pushing, pearl clutchers scared of escalators and petrified of men in general.

(And not an actual, coherent argument in sight).

Some people get really freaked out with women disagreeing with them. What on earth do they think will happen?
