Regarding toxic masculinity i think it's a huge problem, evidenced by the shocking male suicide rate and it being the main cause of death for men under 40. However, I also think a lot of inherent (to many man but obv not all) characteristics are often passed off as being toxic masculinity.

I suspect you have no idea about the history of computing or without googling would be able to name any of the men or women who actually make this conversation possible. There are lots of women working in the tech industry and being very successful in, there always have been. That doesn't change the fact that men came up with pretty much all of the good stuff, your theory that women who did not want to stay working in the industry would have invented C++ is going to be hard to prove really.

As pointed out earlier there was a litany of fucking awful crimes against women, children and animals all concurrently reported in the news and very nearly all committed by men. Not all men but too many men. If men weren’t committing these horrific crimes we wouldn’t be talking about them in the context of very nearly all terrible violent crime being committed by men and there being far too much of it. Today I read s woman has been hospitalised through a sex attack in a children’s play park. I suppose the existence of the Magna Carta cancels this out ffs.
