This has a similar ring to it, as the anti-trans protesters tried to co-opt the lesbian community, there has been a vocal backlash and clarification of support for trans people.

I'm really interested in your comment here. About who's under the trans umbrella and what the different goals might be. Do you see the goals of those defined by Tara as 'men with a sexual fetish' as different from 'traditional transexuals' as different?

Now, that being acknowledged, if you can't even get along with each other well enough to create a workable compromise on anything how can you expect anyone else to? The rest of us have learned that doing so will only result in having the bag attempt to claw our eyes out.

Just so you know the first effort made to increase the Transgender population was to include the Gays and Lesbians under the Trans umbrella. This was met with a resounding eff off so the transgender advocates went stealth and looked elsewhere.

Thanks thebewilderness I'm not really properly versed in all the history, so thanks for the heads up. (As you already know, I feel a little inarticulate and new compared to people like you who have been articulating this for years).

I'm just really interested in Bespin's point of view given their consistent posting. And the policy they wrote years' ago. Given that I'm assuming Bespin's post about there is and as always been a debate about who is under the trans umbrella and if the different parts of the trans community need different things for different reasons was in response to my posting of Tara Hewitt's fulsome definition of all trans.
